Quote of the day:
“The race is over, but the work never is done while the power of work remains.” -Oliver Holmes

Happy “had a blast watching football all day” SUNDAY! I will be the first to tell you I am not passionate about football. But Ashy and Lil one have a special bond when it comes to sports. It makes me smile from ear to ear when I see her teaching him everything there is to know about football. I figured out today that I “love” the feel of football. I like my house during football season. It’s cozy, warm and LOUD.  This morning the temperature was cooler than it usually is, which made it feel like Fall.
{time for FALL crafts, hehe}

I wasn’t sure if I was going to post this or not. I didn’t make it from scratch but I figured I might as well share some of the creative things that go on in my head with you. This summer when we remodeled our house I decided to keep some of the “original” drawers. I mean, they were only like 75 years old or older.

They look old. I like that. If you wanted to make it look new you could sand it down and paint it a solid color. We actually put that liner in the drawers when we bought our house 9 years ago. I figured I would keep it to save that memory. I think it’s the cutest and cheapest decor in my house. We actually kept a few other things from the house and I will be posting them soon.

 I had to post this picture because it was a moment I had to remember. When we were hanging the drawer on the wall one of our large milk glass bowls fell on the floor.

It broke. It’s ok. I swear.
{insert a crying laugh here}

See you in the next post Jaderbugs!

(p.s. before you read this. I wrote it last night, but fell asleep typing)

Happy hump day Jaderbugs. I always feel weird saying that but I also can’t help it. Right?!
This post is gonna be sorta short and sweet (like candy) because I had a full day and I am just getting to my computer! I sorta love day’s like this. You know, those day’s where ALOT get’s done.

Lately I have been “slowing” down a little bit. I can’t lie to you. That is very hard for a person like me as I am sure it is for many of you too! I like to go, go, go. You know how that is right? We tell ourselves there is “never” enough time in the day. What we are doing is telling the UNIVERSE there isn’t enough time and they are giving us exactly that. As a blogger it is sometimes hard to pry my fingers away from ONE of our computers. It’s my job. I have been putting my phone down after 6 pm until EVERYONE is asleep in the house. Then I let my fingers get back to work. Try it! It feels good!

I had so much fun with this mirror. A while back it was white and I painted it this color to spruce it up. I felt it needed just a little bit more! All I did was use paint, brushes, and sponge stamps. You can do whatever colors you like because after all, it’s gonna be your creation…

If you wanna see more of me find me here:

Make sure and send me any pictures you have of your updated WHATEVER!! (hehe)
You never know, I just might feature you on the Jaderbomb blog.

Happy Tuesday Jaderbugs! I know, I have totally been MIA for the last couple of days. Your thinking ” what happened to jaderbomb”, “is she still blogging”… You know I couldn’t EVER stop blogging. Plus I love you too much. I sorta have a pretty good excuse. I was at BlogHer 12. I promise to tell you all about it in another post. Trust me I had a TON of fun and I can’t wait to share with you how amazing it was.

Lately I am attracted to anything and everything black and white. It’s classic and traditional which makes it very versatile for anyone. I remember when I was a little girl we had a piano in the house and I loved looking at the keys on it. Maybe that is where my love of it started. I even have black and white stripes in my logo!

The other day while walking around target I smelled something black and white around me. When my eyes saw this pack of decorative napkins I totally saw the light. You know that light that say’s “BUY ME” or I will HAUNT you. So the fear inside of me bought them. The reason why I wanted to share this with you is because it’s a really affordable way to dress up a room for any occasion. Do you realize how many pretty napkins you could buy and decorate with? It’s cheaper than fabric too!!!

This picture inspired me so much! Are you thinking what I am thinking? That you NEED this room in your house!!
This picture is from architect Steven Learner‘s upgraded guest bath in his Manhattan loft. I think it’s perfect because you can NEVER go wrong with black and white stripes.

Let’s get started!

INGREDIENTS:

How cute are these napkins! I just want to MOD PODGE them all to a wall. {{wait, why did I just say that outloud}}
That mean’s I have to try it. Sorry Ashy.

When you open the napkin, put a little bit of hot glue down the middle.

Then hurry and put the twine on top of the HOT HOT glue! Continue the till your all done!

 BAM! INSTANT FLAG!

So you see! It’s that easy and affordable to dress up a room in a JIFFY WIFFY! Going get some ZZZ’S.

See ya in the next post Jaderbugs…

Happy Saturday Jaderbugs! I slept SOOOO good and my coffee is SOOOO good right now! I have a few new things lined up to post  but none are 100% complete! So I thought this would be the best time to post a few crafts from last summer. A little old school for ya this morning!

This is NOT from last summer but I want you to get it if you have not yet! It’s the greatest checkoff list ever. Put this up on your fridge and watch in excitement as your little kids get to check off things your family does together! You could even have a 100 day’s of Summer journal! Write a little bit about each thing you check off!

Have some old furniture lying around? Does it look old and frumpy? I’ve got the solution! Get over to your local craft store, or Walmart and get some .99 bottles of acrylic paint! Watch the magic happen!

Remember the movie UP? I do! It is prolly my favorite! What a fun way to brighten up your day! Paint your nails like balloons. Every time you look down you will think of the movie and it will put a smile on your face!

If you are like me then you might have TON’S of paint cans laying around. No worries! Check out what I created!

Want to reuse your old Era or Gain bottle? Check out this fun craft that I made!

I hope you enjoyed me bringing back a few crafts I did a WHOLE year ago! Happy Weekend Jaderbugs!

I sit here in my studio thinking:
a)How did I get addicted to VICS nose spray (teehehehe)
b)How come I am totally addicted to sticky notes
c) Why do I like homemade root-beer more than the carbonated one
d)Why I CAN’T work until my house is spotless {seriously, this causes major problems}
e)Why do I love GOLD so much

There ya have it! Incase you ever wondered what goes through the mind of an A.D.D. person in the matter of 4 seconds, this should enlighten you .

I was in my back yard picking hydrangeas over the weekend and saw this small pile of bricks. There was ONE particular one that caught my eyeball! I really had NO idea what I was going to do with it {compulsive order too, haha} but I “needed” it.   I started thinking it would look really cool if I glittered it up (yes. I am addicted to glitter too), then I thought GOLD SPRAY PAINT!

I figured since I didn’t own my own gold brick I would make my own! Then through the process I realized it was strong enough to hold books up. That’s it! Let’s check it out!

I bought this spray paint at FRED’S! It was .99!!!! So you don’t need the “most expensive” gold spraypaint.

Lay the brick down on a surface your not scared to mess up and spray the entire brick!

It’s simple. It’s cute. It’s GOLD

You can’t tell me your not like.. O.M.Geeee! I know I am! Just think, you could glitter it in gold too! Can’t wait to see you in the next post!

Make it a DIY kinda day,

If you are planning a Valentines surprise for your love one’s tonight well you still have time to make this! It is cheap and super easy.
If you want to decorate that steak you are cooking, “stake” it in that meat!! {{hahaha}}

Ingredients you will need are:

* Skewers which I bought from walmart and pom poms from Hobby Lobby. The name brand I bought is called “tree house studio”.

They come with 18 pom poms that are cute and shiny.

The bakers twine I used is from Martha Stewart’s line at Michael’s Arts and Crafts.

First thing you want to do is add some hot glue to your pom pom. I am using a dual temperature hot glue gun from Martha Stewart’s line of crafts.

After you add your hot glue to the pom pom you want to immediately put your bamboo skewer into it. I broke my skewers to make them a lot shorter!

When you are done tie a little piece of bakers twine to the skewer and voila! Your little nugget of food decor…

I wonder if anyone will really stick this into meat! HAHA

Sending you lot’s of steak love for your nice night,

This post is brought to you Plaid’s Martha Stewart line. I received product for this post. All opinions expressed are 100% mine. You can check out Plaid’s fullMartha Stewart product line here.
