Reindeer Facts

Reindeer have different functions in different cultures. The larger-than-life holiday identity of reindeer likely originated from their ability to pull a heavy sleigh around their arctic homes.  Today, reindeer are mainly used in the United States and around the world to demonstrate the link between humans and animals and the environment. Their antlers are made up of the fastest growing tissue in the animal kingdom, growing up to an inch a day. Made of bone, reindeer antlers can grow within only a few weeks of birth. WOW. Reindeer are the only species of deer where both sexes have antlers, although only male reindeer develop a brow shovel, which they use to clear snow and ice off of grass.

Check above for the template. I was already giddy and happy when I saw this template.

Place template on brown felt or brown paper and trace face and ears; cut them out.

Make eyes by punching two dots out of black felt using a hole punch. Glue black dots to face. Let dry for 15 minutes.

Apply face and ears to candy cane using nontoxic glue. Attach craft pom-pom for the nose using nontoxic glue. If making a Rudolph candy cane, use a red pom-pom; otherwise, use brown.

She’s coming togetherrrrrererererrer (i was singing that) haha

Look FOLKS it’s out HANDY DANDY TRUSTY RUSTY WIRE!!!  Twist rustic floral wire to make antlers. Attach antlers by twisting around top of candy cane. Twist one small piece onto each side of the main antlers to make branches.

OH MY BAJEZZERS. I WANNA EAT THESE BABIES.

LAWD! If you these these are not scrumptious looking then you CUH-RAZY! I can’t believe this is 98! It’s the year I GRADUATED {{teehehehe I shouldn’t of said that}} Check Martha out here!

Candy Cane Mice

It’s the kids who will be doing the nibbling when these sweet mice are around. A combination of two Christmas icons — mice and candy canes — these tiny fabric creatures with their red-and-white-striped tails make fitting favors at a holiday dinner or delightful gifts for children to give to friends and relatives.

RIGHT!! Just wait till you see the scrumptious little munchkins!!

Get the mice template HERE.

After you cut out the images from your template trace them onto felt.

Take your paper punch and punch out a couple of holes into black felt.

You will cut slices like this.

After you pass the ears through the slit put a dab of glue on top of each ear.

OMG. Are you “really” ready for these suckers. I don’t think you are.

I never thought I would say that I absolutely LOVE mice now. Well, just pink and yellow ones.

Up an at um early this morning and seeing crooked mice because I am SO tired,

How To Make Embossed Cards

Take your projects to a new level by learning a technique called embossing. Embossing is a technique used to create a raised, or 3-dimensional, image on a piece of paper. You can emboss store-bought stationery or cards, or you can make your own from card stock.

When my friend at Martha Stewart sent me this starter kit I was like.. I must be stupid because I’ve never seen this! It looked hard but it was SO easy. Lemme tell you how ELEGANT this looks.

Ok. I’ll tell you. ELEGANT.

Let’s get started!!! It’s 2:30 in the morning and I think I just felt drool on my lip.

This is what the box will look like in the store. You can order one HERE.

I absolutely LOVED the bird. Tweet Tweet. Speaking of TWEETS don’t forget to find me on TWITTER so we can twitterbomb.

I started with card stock and folded it in half. I love this MINT color. Ya know, Lady GaGa said mint will be in next season.

Be careful not to press TOO TOO hard. We don’t want to work this hard and then tear it.. That would be an EPIC FAIL.

I know. I have OLIVE paper here. I made, let’s just say ((a few)) haha for Christmas cards.

This is just some things I was playing around with. I am in love.

Check out my friend Alex and Martha. Alex if your reading this…. I miss you and I’m cooking Gumbo on SUNDAY!

Wishing Martha, Alex, Stacey, Noel, & Lenore could come over this weekend,

Recycled Ornaments

Holiday cards make perfect ornaments: dazzling and delicate yet impossible to break. In a few steps, turn cards into darling globes or circles that lock together, ready to twirl. Or frame a snowy scene in a frosting of sparkles. To make the glitter ornament, cut out a circle from a card and punch a hole for string; add glue around the edge and sprinkle with glitter. Hang your new ornaments with card garlands for an enchanting tree. HOW UH-MAZING is that Jaderbugs! Little one brought home one of these and I thought it was the most clever idea. How awesome to be able to capture a moment in time and decorate with it FOREVER. Just think…You could have a big ole tree full of pictures. HAHA

These airy ornaments are a breeze to make.

You will need a hole puncher. I know before you give me any hassle these babies are amazing. They are like, 25 years old. I have been having them for as long as I remember.

Cut a card into narrow strips; you’ll need about eight to 20 pieces, depending on how much space you want between them.

I always number mine that way I don’t mix them up. OH and remember to keep your numbers at either the top or bottom that way they are all facing the right direction. Yep. Full of tricks. Don’t forget after you cut all of your slices to punch on EACH end with the hole puncher!

Get some good ole paper fastener’s.

Stack strips and punch holes through both ends with a hole punch (if the stack is too thick, do a few strips at a time); insert a paper fastener into each hole.

Now do you see what I mean. PRICELESS.

Wishing I was the cow jumping over the moon, or the sheep jumping the fence…

Cereal Box Organizer

OMG! It’s the 10th. I can’t believe it. I will write more about this LATER! When I saw this craft I thought. OMG! Practically free and a nice way to keep your magazines nice and neat. Do you know what I am talking about yet??? Hurry! Scroll down!!

Kids go through cereal fast. Make use of all the empty boxes by turning them into handy holders for their desks. Large boxes work well for books, small ones for supplies. Cut box with a utility knife at desired angle and height. Wrap decorative or contact paper around box to see how much you’ll need; unwrap; cut. Secure paper with double-sided tape; trim excess.

All of my products are made my Martha Stewart.

Magical Beans Mosaic

This magical bean mosaic is a wonderful activity for kids and adults to do together. I got so aggravated excited every time I saw beans hitting my studio floors. I didn’t know them suckers could BOUNCE! Fa reel! Then Ceaux Ceaux started eating them and all you heard coming from the floor was crunching and some little eyes looking up every now and then knowing she was up to no good. She was probably like “haha, thought you could drop something and pick it up faster than my mouth can pick it up”.

FAIL.

Let’s get started!

Get some wood!

Lot's of BEANS ( you know what this means) HEHE

We can't forget about our Martha Stewart glue gun! (links below)

I put them in separate containers. Makes them stay together...We don't wanna separate the babies do we.

I started by making a small circle with beans in the center of the wood. Yes Jaderbugs, first I put my hot glue down!

Start arranging your BEANS until you like how they look.. Guess we would stay we are BEAN professionals.

Look how DELICIOUS this baby looks! Woud you believe me if I told you I tried eating a raw one.. What? I just wanted to see if it would crack.... Thank GOD it didn't crack me teet.. HAHA. Happy Beaning Jaderbugs!

Sending you a BIG BEAN BABY hug,

Popcorn Wreath

Let me just begin by saying I did a BIG popcorn wreath and SMASHEd  it on the floor! I am so frustrated because I put a sheet over it so nothing would get to it until the morning and when I walked in my studio the next day I WALKED RIGHT ON TOP OF IT. Of course I didn’t see it. I know. If you were to know what being in my shoes have been like in the last week then you would understand not “seeing” something that is right in front of you. It’s such a horror story.

Grab a good ole bag of popcorn! I used organic popcorn because I knew I would be “snacking” while making!

Look how pretty and fluffy this popcorn is!

I started by getting some dental floss and stringing these babies together. I wish I didn’t step on the one that took me 2 hours to make. UGH. I am totally being fonky and making a baby wreath. I’m sorry Jaderbugs! I just don’t have 2 hours to do it all over again! <3 you though!

This is by “baby” wreath! I actually think it’s cute. It looks like the start of an OLYMPICS symbol. HAHA! OH and I just used some twine to hang it!

Love ya, mean it,

Santa Claus Crackers

Oh MYYY Santa Claus! This tasty little treat had me eating more than I wanted last night. I didn’t know I even liked this stinking pepperoni. Where have I been. I though pepperoni only came on pizzas.

Assemble jolly hors d’oeuvres for a holiday party with kids among the guests. Your kids can be little helpers: Use kitchen scissors to cut a pepperoni hat; attach to cracker with a dab of ricotta. Spread on a ricotta beard. Add celery slices for mustache and capers for eyes and nose. Cover bottom of hat with more ricotta for fluffy trim.

I love love love this little santa’s! AND THEY ARE GOOD!

Running around like a fool trying to squeeze everything into one day but doing because I heart my Jaderbugs,

How to Glitter Shoes

If your like me then you have TONS of shoes…. {that I don’t wear} because strangely enough I only like about…. 2 pairs. My ugg boots and my free’s. I know. I’m boring when it comes to shoes. OH wait, I always wear my black or brown running boots. They make me feel…..like I’m about to ride a horse. Giddy up! Let’s start crafting. I decided to make another video because I been getting a lot of requests to do more. So I live for you and decided I had to follow your command. I actually did this craft a long time ago but forgot about it. HAHA go figure. Make sure you check at the botom of this post for pictures of the shoes! How to Etch Glass

If you want to personalize a cup or plate then you want to continue reading this post! Sometimes things look REALLY hard but are REALLY easy! Let’s check it out!

All you will need is glass conditioner and etching cream! I got these babies at Michael’s.

I used this frost etching! Get some HERE. It’s really easy to do. The only advice I can give you is don’t leave the stencil on ALL night and expect your edges to be clean and crisp in a couple of days… EPIC FAIL (see below) Paahahah

But, it’s still super easy and totally unique!

Sequin Ball Earrings

Get festive in a flash by donning a pair of homemade sequin ball earrings.

Sequin-wrapped wooden beads are attached to stud posts and chains from a jewelry-supply store. The only thing different than using sequins is using Martha Stewart’s fabulous GLITTER!!!

I figured I would jaderbomb the earrings plus glitter is much prettier than sequins…ahhh this red glitter makes my heart beat really fast!!!

Get some glitter HERE

I used this awesome Martha Stewart wide tip glue pen. This is so cool. When the glue comes to the tip it is BLUE!!

Get some wooden balls. I got these from Michaels Art’s and Craft’s. They were like…1.00 for a pack of 4.

Grab some earring findings from your local craft store.

Coat your wooden ball with the BLUE glue!!!

Oh wait! Get your hot glue gun and put this little sucker on it! (or you can use super glue)

These babies are coming together!!

These babies are SO FANCY!!!

Oh if you know me then you know I wear two different earrings at a time! Not sure why but I do. I am giving the red ones to my friend Jess (sorry if your reading this haha) because yesterday she said she LOVED the red glitter.. and I made a gold one for my left ear lobe… Not sure what I will match it up with yet.

FULL OF GLITTER
