COTTON CANDY MARSHMALLOW POPS

These yummy goodies are all cozy in my warm belly right now. Well I did bring some to my god child next door and she walked around with one in each hand saying they were DELICIOUS over and over!

If you are wondering how I came up with these well I will be honest and tell you I was craving ice cream with that magic shell yumminess but I didn’t have either so I improvised. SORTA. I ironically had a bag of cotton candy laying around (not really it was from Valentines Day)… I hope my son doesn’t read this post, hehe.

chocolate covered marshmallows Everyone needs a little cotton candy in their lives, right! cotton candy food We can’t leave out MARSHMALLOWS! They are the best part of anything, right! marshmallow pops |1| First thing you will do is grab a paper straw (mine are from Michaels) and jab it through a soft white marshmallow.  easy marshmallow pops |2| Grab some chocolate from your grocery store’s baking section (the kind you pop in the microwave). Listen when you are on the go this stuff makes your life amazing!  Make sure to read the directions.  easy chocolate cake pops |3| Take your marshmallow and dip it half way into the gooey melted choco-late. how to melt chocolate |4| While your chocolate is still wet sprinkle it with sprinkles. If you don’t like sprinkles then you can leave them plain!

|5| The BEST part of this pop is the topping. Take a little ball of cotton candy and roll it up with your fingers {of course clean ones} then place them on top of your wet chocolate. If you roll your cotton candy balls ahead of time it makes it really easy to grab them and pop them on the wet chocolate!  MARSHMALLOW POPS |5| Time to EAT! Tip of adice: I placed mine in the freezer over night bc I personally like the texture of frozen marshmallows. If you have never tried it, you should! colorfull marshmallow pops

I don’t know about you but I will eat any kind of PIE that is placed in front of me. There is something especially inviting about a cool pie on a hot summer day. If you live in Louisiana then you know exactly what I mean. It’s HOT here. This past weekend I put a blanket down in my back yard and spend the whole day outside, laying on it. It was so nice to get some rays but I kept dreaming of the perfect pie which included mint, chocolate, bananas, whip cream and andes mints. I figured I would make it and share it with you!

Let’s get started with this Mint Chocolate Chip Banana Cream Pie because it’s delish!

I am totally into baking lately. I have always loved to bake but it’s like the baking bug bit me. Over the Christmas break Ashy and lil one loved every second of it. I just kept bringing them food then desserts then food then desserts, haha. I am excited to share this recipe with you because I sorta made it up as I went. I’m not saying there is no other Strawberry Gingerbread out there but for me I added as I went along. I was just supposed to bake plain gingerbread using the Betty Crocker mix and while I was in the kitchen I started making a salad then before you knew it the strawberries that were in my salad flew into my gingerbread mix! HAHA

Seriously. They just flew in there like they knew that was where they needed to be.

Boy did it come out good! Let’s make it.

INGREDIENTS:

*Betty Crocker Gingerbread Mix

*1 cup of diced strawberries

Start by following the directions on the back of the gingerbread box then throw in your berries. Mix it good then throw it in the oven. Well not really “throw” but pop um in there.   When it is done baking let it cool off good. I mixed powdered sugar with a little bit of water to make my topping. To do this the ratio is 2 to 1. I put two scoops of sugar and one of water ,you might have to add a little bit more water depending on how your consistency is. I melted a little bit, drizzled it on top of my gingerbread then topped it with fresh strawberries.

YUM-O

When you eat it warm you can taste all of the fresh baked strawberries inside and it’s so good. If you don’t want the sugar drizzle on top you can replace with whipped cream.

I hope you enjoyed this SUPER SIMPLE recipe. Make sure you come back tomorrow for my favorite featured pics on Valentine’s day crafts. You never know you might be featured.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I am so grateful to be here to share the happiness that goes on in my life quite frequently. Today I am sharing a recipe that I got from Martha Stewart’s cupcakes which is her best selling cookbook.

It’s super delicious so I hope you make it ASAP. I swear when I took them out of the oven lil one already had 2 in his belly before I could even frost them. After I made them I saved some for us then I walked around my hood and delivered them to all of my wonderful neighbors. I thought about bringing some to “NEW” neighbors but then I thought they woud prolly say thanks, take it then throw it away (scared it might be laced with something).
{{{btw which is what I would do unless I “knew” them}}}
You never know these days! I have to say the elders love when I bring them baked goods, especially strait out of the oven.

Let’s get started. I attached a free printable of the recipe that I made for you! Enjoy

Happy Thursday Jaderbugs! I couldn’t wait to make this for you one day. It seemed like I kept putting it off and little one kept reminding me that I “STILL” didn’t make it.  So I decided this was the perfect time. I hope you enjoy it as much as my family enjoys it.
We like to make this, put a movie on and sit together pulling off each little piece. It’s like an edible puzzle.

Oh, and when you put the biscuit pieces in the container to SHAKE let your kids get involved by doing that task. It is sorta like dancing with food. {haha}

 MONKEY BREAD -RECIPE

MONKEY BREAD

1 CUP WHITE SUGAR
1 TEASPOON CINNAMON
1 BLOCK OF MARGARINE
3/4 CUP BROWN SUGAR
2 CANS (10 COUNT) BISCUITS
CRISCO

BEFORE YOU START PUT YOUR STOVE ON AT 350 DEGREES

1. GREASE BUNDT PAN WITH CRISCO. CUT BISCUITS INTO QUARTERS THEN CUT THE QUARTERS IN HALF.

2. MIX SUGAR AND CINNAMON IN A LARGE TUPPERWARE CONTAINER

3. PLACE BISCUITS PIECES INTO CONTAINER AND SHAKE UNTIL THEY ARE COATED. THIS USUALLY DOES NOT TAKE LONG AT ALL

4. SEPARATE AND DROP INTO THE BUNDT PAN.

5. GET A SMALL POT AND MELT YOUR BUTTER AND BROWN SUGAR. WHEN IT IS COMPLETELY MELTED POUR THIS MIXTURE OVER YOUR BISCUITS IN YOUR BUNDT PAN.

BAKE FOR 35 MINUTES

WHEN THE TIME IS UP REMOVE FROM THE OVEN AND TURN IT OVER IMMEDIATELY ON WHATEVER YOU ARE PUTTING IT ON.

I USUALLY “WIGGLE” IT OUT BY MOVING MY BUNDT PAN WHILE IT IS ON MY PLATTER.

THAT’S IT JADERBUGS! IT’S THAT SIMPLE.
