Happy Friday! I am so stinking excited about this post mainly because it’s so fun to make it. I write for I love to create every two weeks and I am always looking for different ways to incorporate tie-dye into our lives. You know, creating ways other than doing a t-shirt. I was in my studio looking around while trying to find inspiration one day and I glanced at my huge box of tissue paper. If you are a DIY’ER then you know it’s always good to have enough of this! You can mod podge it onto things, make tissue balls, or just Tie Dyed Tissue Paper . I was unsure of the way it would turn out but don’t you worry, I made all of the mistakes necessary before I shared this with you. So what are you waiting for? Hurry and check out the FULL TUTORIAL HERE!

Oh and if you are on Pinterest make sure to follow all of my boards, I promise I will give you loads and loads of inspiration daily. Find me HERE!

Big Glittery Hugs,
Jade

Howdy Hoo Jaderbugs! It’s one of those days. I am sitting here not sure “what” to do when I have “all” of the time in the world. Well not really all of the time in the world but let’s face it…when there is a major Hurricane going on and you can’t leave your house for a couple of days it kinda puts you in a cray cray mood. I apologize if at ANY point I don’t make any sense.  I really have not made anything today so I figured it would be a great time to go back and take a look at some of my  FALL crafts that I did last year. I always enjoy doing this because sometimes I forget what I have done. It’s funny because I have changed so much from ONE year ago. From my techniques, pictures, editing, settings and tons of other things. I remember when I did ALL of these crafts. It was in the MIDDLE of my 100 days of Martha countdown. Maybe that is why I didn’t have the “best” pictures like I do now. I was stuck in my studio crafting like a FOOL late at night with NO natural light. But all together you can still get the idea of the craft! I hope you have fun with these and get ton’s of inspiration. Stay tuned later on for a Halloween throwback post! That one will be FUN.
BOTTOM-LINE.
On the bright side. We still have electricity. That my dear is a HUGE +.

Let’s all take a trip down FALL lane.

I had so much fun doing this craft. I think it’s perfect for the fall holidays. It has a soft glow to it when the light is on and the pretty green makes it feel “fall-ish”.

One thing that I like to share on my blog is ways to SAVE moolah! Yeah, you could absolutely go out and buy tons of glittered candles, or you can make your own for half of the price. On the bright side. You can pick out your own glitter colors.

I know this looks a little “Halloween-ish” but if you visually take off the spider we can throw it in the FALL category. You can use any color tissue paper and it’s actually great for any occasion.

I remember doing these and thinking to myself how amazing they were. When I think of Fall I think of butterflies. I imagine them zooming all around the pretty fall flowers. This craft is a hit for adults and children. You can dress up a wall with these, put them on a gift box, hang them from fishing string or just glue them onto a picture frame.

Yes! You too can make homemade confetti using your Martha Stewart punches. I think this year I will make a pile of different punches. You could even put these in little bags for your sock drawer, hang them in your car or give them as a gift! Anyone will love these.

Last but not least. When I think of FALL I think of these smells: pumpkins, cinnamon, harvest, leaves and cloves. What better way to enhance the air you breathe! You can even create a design on the pumpkin with the cloves!

Hurricane Isaac is OVER and Jaderbomb is back.

See ya in the next post,

Well, Well, Well.
I know this is NOT a craft tutorial but I couldn’t help it! I just had to share this picture with you. Incase you ever wonder what goes into a craft, here it is. Yes, I have an AMAZING studio but for some strange reason I am MOST productive outside and squeezing everything I am using onto one chair. I could seriously buy 10 tables but will use the same old chair that’s been around forever!!!

I guess this old chair is like your your old pair of jeans that are completely broken in! RIGHT! I mean you can buy ten new pairs of jeans but you will always get that old pair out instead! Or you can buy a brand NEW pair that were completely over priced and squat down the wrong way then KAPOOSH!!!! Split strait in the crotch! Yep happened to me the other day during a photo shoot!!!!! {{rolling eyes}}.

This chair in the picture {{with all of my things on it}} has been around forever! It’s crazy how a piece of wood can inspire you!

The reason why I am posting this picture is because I thought it was really funny! I guess I do so many crafts that I never realized how many crafts are in one spot in my house! Who woulda thunk it! I love each of the crafts in the picture below and wanted to share them with all of my Jaderbugs!

1.  Tissue Paper Garland
2.   Paint Can Cross
3.  Redneck Night Light
4.  Glitter Wall Art
5.  Fabric Covered Flower Pot
6.  My recent Self- Portrait

I hope you have fun checking out a corner in my homey home! Stay tuned for a new tutorial tomorrow!

EASTER Tissue Paper POM POM’S-Tutorial

Happy Saturday Jaderbugs! I could not wait to show you this fun and quick tutorial. I am sure you remember my “Tissue Paper Pom Pom’s” that were featured on Martha Stewart, right? If not click on the links I just provided and check um out! You will be shocked to find out just how easy they are. If you have a huge space that you need to dress up these are the perfect thing for it!

Here are some examples:

Here is a little info on what kind of tissue paper to use (click on the link): Tissue Paper

Now I wanted to make something quick to decorate a mantle with and why not make “mini” tissue paper pom pom’s. I thought it was the easiest thing to use for decoration. On the flip side, it’s super affordable. A pack of tissue paper might cost $1.50 and usually comes with like…about 13 sheets of tissue paper in it. For the small pom pom’s I used one sheet for each one. For the bigs ones, I used about 12 sheets for each one.

I just had to get these two packs of tissue paper. I thought they were perfect for Easter and SOOOO adorable.

First thing you want to do is take one sheet of paper. Fold it in half and cut at the seam. Do this 3 more times. It’s always good to use a good pair of “sharp” scissors so the paper cuts instantly. I love my Martha Stewart Multi Purpose Scissors.

After you finish the step before this you will take the little stack of tissue paper and fold it like an accordion. You can make the folds big or small, your preference. I like doing big ones because it makes it easier to open them up in the end.

Next you will take some wire of your choice {{ I like to use floral wire}} and wrap it around the center just like this. Make sure you leave a long piece so you can stick it in a bottle.

Here is one of my mantle’s I decorated. See the tissue balls to the right!!!! Remember, to make these you only need ONE sheet per ball.  To make the BIG one you need 12 sheets. Make sure you click on my tutorial I put at the top of the post to see step by step how I did the big ones!

Here is a little something I added to spruce up my mantle. I love CONFETTI!!!! I bought this bag from Wal-Mart and it was only .97 cent’s!!!!

Just grab all of the little clear jars or bottles you can find and fill um up girls!!! You can even use clear wine bottles!!!! Anything to show off these babies!!!

I hope you have a blast doing this craft! Enjoy the rest of your weekend Jaderbugs!!!

Glowing Hurricane Glasses Tutorial

Good day my little Jaderbugs! It’s a wonderful day in the neighborhood, won’t you be my neighbor {please hehe}…
I remember when I was little I loved Mr. Rogers. I LOVED that he changed his cardigan every 5 minutes. Looking back now, that sucker was very fashionable. Plus, you can never go wrong with a cardigan.  So the days are getting closer till I get to see Martha! I keep pinching myself because this just can’t be happening to lil ole me! BUT IT IS, and I am so thankful to my UNIVERSE.
Matthew 21:22
And all things, whatever you make request for in prayer, having faith, you will get.

With faith, love, and passion anything’s possible.  God rewards you and you will know when it’s just simply your time.

This craft we are doing today was really easy.  The one thing I loved the most about it is you can mix and match with any color tissue paper.  They give off the best lighting once complete. {{can we say affordable also, that’s always a plus}. After all it’s about using what you have and loving it. There is nothing in this world like crafting. It is the best feeling in the world when you can create something with your bare hands. Nothing like it I tell ya.
I can’t even go a day with out looking at {{everything}} in my path and thinking what I could do to “jaderbomb” it.
So grab a coke {or water, or pepsi or whatever} and stay a while.  I don’t mind. Shoot’s bring your friends!

p.s. These are all the ingredients I used.
p.s. You want to start off by folding your tissue paper in half then cut with your scissors.
p.s. After you cut your tissue paper you want to make a fold about 1″ from the bottom. Do another piece and slip it into the first fold. Just continue until you are happy with the look!
p.s. On the left is what it should look like prior to wrapping around your glassware.  Then you want to take whatever “glass” object you are using and lay it flat on top of the tissue paper.
p.s. Tape down that first piece and start rolling. (hint: if you use two sheets in some spots it will make it look darker)
p.s. The one on the left I simply brushed on a little mod podge then sprinkled Martha’s vintage leaf glitter on it and it officially has been jaderbombed. The one on the right I made it look ombre which is so pretty while lit. I just embellished it with that fancy little spider.
p.s. Look how cute this baby is! Has a great jewel on it’s head! So festive!
Sending you all the vintage leaf glitter to sparkle your house up with,
jaderbomb
