Jewelry takes people’s minds off your wrinkles - Sonja Henie

Hey everyone! I am just getting back from the most amazing trip ever and I wanted to share this tutorial with you on making Color Blocked Gold Bracelets . I will be sharing more about the my trip later this week so make sure to come back and check it out!

If you are like me then you can sometimes be cheap! Very cheap!

I personally call it being “smart”, right. I found a set of gold bracelets a while back at Old Navy and bought them. Check out what I was REALLY doing there when I found them.  I wasn’t sure exactly what I would do with them but I knew I would figure it out and it would be RAD. If you like gold check out this cute gold flag banner I made for a cake.

I finally decided I wanted to add a splash of color to them. Finger nail polish is the best thing to apply to metal because it stays on for a LONG time. Let’s get started. Color Blocked Gold Bracelets How beautiful are these bracelets. I knew they would be a hit on my vacation and now I am madly in love with them. I think I need about 10 more on my wrist.

You will need:
1. Nail Polish
2. Gold Bracelets or Gold Chain HOW TO PAINT METAL JADERBOMB I am using Covergirl outlast stay brilliant nail polish. I am in love with all of their colors and they fit perfectly with my smile!

If you want to purchase all of the colors from one spot make sure to click my affiliate links below! The colors I am using in this post are:
1. Mint Mojito 285
2. Snow Storm 110
3. Go-Go Mango 245
4. Salt Water Taffy (not sure of number) FINGERNAIL POLISHED JEWELERY

15 gold diy's Step 1:  Lay out your gold bracelet on a clean surface and coat one side with nail polish. painting gold bracelts Move on to the next one and remember to coat one side at a time. It doesn’t take too long for the polish to dry. In 10 minutes you can flip it over and do the other side. I like to do about 2 good coats  of each color. My goal is to give it a matte finish.  how to paint You can see below how it will look if you only do one side of the bracelet. Depending on the links I would decide if I wanted to do both sides on some of them.  diy bracelets One tip I have when storing bracelets is to sling them over the top of a really cool jar. You can find these at garage sales or vintage stores. Plus it looks really pretty.  EASY KIDS CRAFTS

I have been feeling totally “Turquoise-ey” lately so I figured I would do a fun round up of 20 TURQUOISE TUTORIALS. I have noticed lately that this particular color is taking over the world and boy am I happy about that.

Me and turquoise go back to circa 1985 when my dad would wear these jewels all over his neck, fingers, waist and even lighter. My dad was always wearing turquoise. That is until he got over it, but let’s face it nobody ever get’s “over” turquoise especially the REAL stuff.

Enjoy the roundup! I made a nice image (below) for you to PIN on Pinterest so pin away.

Today it is all about mugs. I don’t know about you but I somehow collect way too many mugs and what happens is I never can decide which one I actually want to drink out of. I guess just like the clothes I wear I believe my coffee cup defines what kind of mood I am in or want to be in.

What? You don’t think so? Shoots, maybe I am just a nut case but at least I am a nutcase than could throw a banging coffee party. Remember my coffee party I did for Martha? You know you could always use these printables for a banging party too!

“I like light green, sometimes red is fun to look at, not a fan of yellow, unless it’s in a rainbow or on a coffee mug or on a happy face.”

*Adhesive Stencils
*Brush and Stencil Cleaner
How to Stencil Mugs The great thing about Martha Stewart’s stencils is the fact that they have a nice adhesive backing to them. This is good because they will not budge when you paint on them.  martha stewart adhesive stencils

Start by placing them on the mugs wherever you want. Don’t worry, if you mess up you can remove them and reapply them where you want.  numbered mugs diy Once your stencil is secure squirt a little bit of glass paint inside of your stencil.  how to write on glass I love using daubers because they distribute the paint nice and even through out the stencil. They also help prevent bleeds since you are apply in an up and down motion.  martha stewart dauber Apply one even coat and re-apply a second coat 10 minutes later. If you want a really opaque look add a third coat.  how to stamp glass

Before your paint dries pull off your stencil and place it in a bowl of water.
how to paint glass

Take them out of the water when you are done and place them on a paper towel. Grab another paper towel and apply a little stencil cleaner to it. Gently rub the stencil and the paint will come off.  how to clean stencils martha steawart stencils Allow them to dry over night and if you want lock in the paint you can bake them in the oven. The directions to doing that is on the bottle.  numbered mugs I hope you enjoyed this easy and fun DIY tutorial. I mean, you can put numbers on your mugs so you can count how many cups you drink in a day right!

I don’t know about you but if you add glitter to anything you will put an instant smile on my face. Today we will be making Glitter Dishes!

I started playing around with paper plates a few weeks ago creating a few easy ways to “dress” them up. I think I was successful with it, what do you think?! I mean, I truthfully hate washing dishes and putting them up so why not serve anyone out of fancy paper plates. It’s not like I am having Christmas at my house but if I did I would lay all these babies out!

Check out these I made with ribbon and these with lace!

you will need *Paper Plates and Bowls   * Glitter  *Brush  *Mod-Podge  *LOVE GlitteredPlateSupplies The first thing you want to do is coat your paper plate with Mod Podge.  easywaystouseglitter You want to work a little fast since Mod Podge dries very quick.

howtouseglitter Sprinkle glitter over the wet Mod Podge. Don’t worry if it’s not perfect because after all it’s just going to be used as decoration. Did I mention you will throw it away after it’s used!
glittered plate

I coated the underneath of the bowl just to add a little more love.  thingstodowithglitter glitteredplates glitterdishes It’s seriously that simple! Fun thing is you can make them for every holiday and it will not break the bank.

What will you use your glittered bowls for?

Today I will show you how to make a 2 Tier Party Platter. It’s really simple and did I mention you can toss it when you are done using it!

Yep today we will use paper plates (sturdy ones) for this project.

I don’t know about you but I like an easy clean up after a day full of chaos so this works perfectly. Let’s get started.
diy 3 tier party platter

*Paper Plates * Fabric Lace * Hot Glue Gun * Empty glass bottle  DIY Serving Dish Put some hot glue under the bottom of the glass bottle. If you don’t have hot glue you can use E600.  two tier serving dish Gently place the glass bottle down onto the large paper plate, directly in the center.  diy serving dish tutorial Gently hold it there for a few minutes to make sure it dries completely. how to make a serving dish Get a small paper bowl and glue it to the top of the glass bottle. Hold until secure! 2-tier platter

How stinking cute is this.

Things you can use this for:
*Put candy in for a holiday party
*Use as a makeup holder
*Keep in a space to throw your keys in and change
*Craft Supplies
*Kids toys

The possibilities are endless really. The best thing is it’s affordable and you can toss it if it get’s dirty and nasty.

What will you use your’s for?

Today I will show you how to Decorate Paper Bags.

Well from what I gather it is almost Halloween around this joint. This means I get to display my favorite color everywhere in the house! Black that is.

I have to admit being the “DIY’ER” that I am sometimes crafts come to me and I just quickly make them. If they are good then they get posted. No lie, this was not planned but I just think it’s practical and can be used for many things in your life.

Sometimes I go through a period of doing fairly simple tutorials and then I do really complicated ones that require ton’s of pictures. Not sure why I do that but I do.

This one would surely fall under EASY!

Have you seen my Halloween Coffee Party yet?

What about my Vintage Crow Magazine Holder!

Decorate Paper Bags

It is honestly a craft that you would add your own imagination too so have fun with it. I made a quick video for you also.
