I don’t know about you but I will eat any kind of PIE that is placed in front of me. There is something especially inviting about a cool pie on a hot summer day. If you live in Louisiana then you know exactly what I mean. It’s HOT here. This past weekend I put a blanket down in my back yard and spend the whole day outside, laying on it. It was so nice to get some rays but I kept dreaming of the perfect pie which included mint, chocolate, bananas, whip cream and andes mints. I figured I would make it and share it with you!

Let’s get started with this Mint Chocolate Chip Banana Cream Pie because it’s delish!

Mint Chocolate Chip Banana Cream Pie

Mix your pudding according to the directions on the back of the box. Get your powdered Mint Chocolate mix and throw that baby in there. I put the entire packet.

Once your putting is made and the consistency is right, add it in your pie. This is the first layer.

Start slicing bananas and lay them on top of the pudding.

 Add your cool whip next.

Crush up your Andes mints and throw those suckers right on top. Pop it in the fridge so it can set and VOILA.

Happy hump day Jaderbugs! I am so excited to share my “Chick Magnet’s” with you today. It’s almost easter and I thought it would be the perfect time to put these on your fridge or anything magnetic. Magnets add a lot of fun to your fridge especially when it’s holding up special notes or your child’s art. Let’s start making them!

Chick-Magnets-Jaderbomb

you will need
*Fluffy Chicks
*Adhesive Magnets

You can purchase all of the supplies I used by clicking on the links above.

Chick-Magnets-Jaderbomb

I purchases my chicks at Hobby Lobby and they were $2.99 for a box of 24. Pretty affordable, right!

Chick-Magnets-Jaderbomb

Start by peeling off the side of the magnet with paper on it. It should be sticky.

Chick-Magnets-Jaderbomb

Take your fluffy chicks and stick them to the sticky side of magnet. That is pretty much it! It’s a super easy craft that your kids could do in no time.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, see you in the next post…

How-to-makeover-your-front-door-in-30-minutes-jaderbomb

Do you ever get so busy with the inside of your house that you sometimes forget about the outside? Don’t get me wrong we do our “home owner” duties like pressure washing the house every summer and mowing the grass. But you know those “little” projects that you somehow look at every day and tell yourself that you will get to it later… Next thing you know it’s 8 years later and you still didn’t get to it. Don’t get me wrong y’all, I might be the only person out there that does this….. However if you are struggling with the
“I WILL GET TO IT LATER DISEASE”
then this post is for you.

When we bought our house I would of loved for the siding to be a different color but why change it out. It was practically brand spanking new and who cares if it is a light shade of yellow. Well, I do. I have been struggling with the front door going with this um… yellow shade for years now. I thought red was the it factor when all along it looked like McDonalds. Speaking of Mc.Donalds did you know they stopped making the chicken selects. Shame on you Micky D. You have disappointed many hungry kids whose parents are too busy to cook a real meal, hehe.

Finally Martha Stewart sent me some black paint, called Francesa. That is the name of her dog. It took me a while before I could paint something. How could it be so hard to find SOMETHING to paint black. One day I was picking the weeds that I barely get too anymore then all of a sudden this magical beam of something was shining down on the front door. I think it was just the sun coming up but we are gonna pretend it was a “sign”. Let’s check out what I did.

How-to-makeover-your-front-door-in-30-minutes-jaderbomb

We can begin with the picture above. Before we talk about the lovely color we will dissect it a little bit.
1. Yes. The red is a pretty red, just not after 8 years. At least it wasn’t this color.
2.  I know, I know my flowers in the pot are a HOT mess. I swear at one point last year they were blooming beautifully with green plants. Maybe I should of watered them with this.
3. On the flip side, I see something living in the bottom right corner, SCORE.
4. Before you get on me I know the trim looks like I pressure washed it to prepare for a new coat of paint when I really didn’t. This is just years and years of not getting TLC.
5.  I still have that otter box case but I never keep it on my phone. Way too bulky.
6.  Last but not least we will talk about the abandoned wreath up there. I swear I usually have cute things hanging on my ugly door so I really don’t recall putting this up.

All we are really looking at is how the door looks with this color on it. We will now procede on to the picture below.

How-to-makeover-your-front-door-in-30-minutes-jaderbombYes. Everything is practically the same but the wreath is down. I will make your heart happy by telling you it never made it back on the door.

I am just trying to show you that a fresh coat of black paint can change your door’s life. It’s like it had a face lift, minus the trim getting done. So the point is you don’t have to change your siding all you have to do is paint your door. If you have shutters get them babies done too. I hope I gave you some inspiration! See you in the next post Jaderbugs.

Today’s post is super sassy and fun! Come on, it’s EGG CANDLES. I will show you how to transform boring eggs in your fridge into a great centerpiece for your table. You can even use them individually if you choose too! Did I mention they smell DELICIOUS!

you will need

I bought my blocks of wax from Wal-Mart. Completely affordable!

How-To-Make-Egg-Candles-Jaderbomb

Take your ice pick and lightly crack a piece of the egg. Then you can start peeling the egg to create a hole at the top.

This is what they will look like when done.

How-To-Make-Egg-Candles-Jaderbomb

Make sure to rinse out the egg completely. We want to get rid of any egg smell.

How-To-Make-Egg-Candles-Jaderbomb

I used my burner to melt my wax. If you have a ceramic dish you can do it in the microwave but please be careful. It can get really hot. If you decide to do it in the microwave make sure you do it for a minute, stir it then continue doing that until it is completely melted.

How-To-Make-Egg-Candles-Jaderbomb

I filled a pretty antique dish with moss that I bought from Hobby Lobby.

How-To-Make-Egg-Candles-Jaderbomb

Next, lay out your eggs in the moss.

How-To-Make-Egg-Candles-Jaderbomb

Gently place your wicks in the eggs.

How-To-Make-Egg-Candles-Jaderbomb

Then start pouring your wax. I used a plastic spoon, it works really good.  Once you fill them all up let them sit for a few hours to harden. Trim the wick with scissors and voila!

There you have it. A cute arrangement for any space. Just remember if you make them in different scents that when you light them they might not smell great mixed together. I recommend doing them in one scent if you plan on lighting multiple eggs at a time. I hope you enjoyed this post, see you in the next one Jaderbugs!
