1.  I love this picture because it never fails. I always find glitter or confetti either in my hair or on the floor. I took some photos this week and there was confetti involved! Hour’s later I found a few hidden in the nest.

2. Our water machine. I had to take this picture because I completely gave up my favorite thing in the world which is Dr. Pepper! Wuhhh! I gave it up 100%. I feel so much better which I already knew I would but Dr. Pepper is my weakness. Working from home can be hard at times because you are in your comfort zone, it’s easy to just grab a Dr and sit at your computer for hours. So this water jug was put in Friday at 12pm, this picture was taken Friday at 8pm. I drank that much water in ONE day! Our water man came this morning and I usually get one jug but I got 3 today. Eeekk, he just looked at me and I laughed. I know all that sugar is bad for me and I don’t want to do that to my body anymore. Did you give up anything for the New Year that you miss SO much already? Let me know in the comment section below, I would love to know.

3. Ceaux Ceaux laughing at me when I told her I am not drinking Dr.P anymore. No, just joking she just smiles when I put the camera in her grill. What? You don’t know Ceaux Ceaux (co-co).. Check out her blog HERE and her Facebook HERE.

4.  Our new piece of technology in the house. Jaderbugs, you have to get one. It is so amazing! You can monitor it from your phone which means if you are cold in bed you can turn the heat up FROM BED. Lazy, yes. Smart, yes. Check it out HERE.

5.  The other morning I was sitting in my car about to get out when all of a sudden something flew up and hit me on my neck. I immediately looked like I was
a: dancing to some hip hop song on the radio
b: dancing to some cray cray song in my head
or
c: freaking out because I felt something fly on me
When I realized it was a lady bug I instantly smiled and made sure I didn’t kill the lil sucker. I mean you don’t just fly on me and expect my instant dance moves to not to splatter you. Not smart lady bug, not smart. Good news is she lived and made it on my instagram.

6.  We collect vintage signs. I love these two from Pop Stew. He used to work at a gas station and these were the signs they put up at the tanks. Cool ey!

7.  Remember earlier when I said I don’t drink Dr. P anymore? Well I forgot to tell you I gave up eating babies too. Here is my yummy egg whites that I ate while drinking WATER.

8.  Me and Ceaux on our bike ride through our lovely city. It is so much fun to ride bikes when it’s FREEZING outside, right! (SMH)

9.  Yep, I rode around just like this. I kept wondering why everyone was staring at me but I guess they thought I looked dangerous. Ya know, me and my dog with a decorative leash. Rarwwwww

10.  Sorry Bill. This is my cute Dr. Not Dr. Pepper tho! He prolly wouldn’t like if I drank him. He texted me and said “guh you better not post those pics on your site”. I said OK. Bill if you are reading this, it’s because I love ya! Ladies, he is single and can crack a back like nobody in this world.

11. Oh, Co. Yeah any room we go in the door get’s shut. Somehow this extraordinary nose can open every single door. The thing is, she pops her nose in just like this and does not make a noise. She will stay like this for 15 minutes strait. Half of the time you think you are alone, but you are not. I think she holds her breath too, haha!

12. My friend Sue introduced me to water color crayons. I know I thought the same thing. How could I be an Artist for so long and not know these suckers exist. I love water color and now I love water color crayons. Check them out HERE.

13. A preview of a recipe that will be on the blog this week! It’s a yummy one!

14. Yep, our tree trimmings are up in flames. Lil one loves to burn leaves because they make a cool crackling sound.

15. Is it weird that I wish I still had this awesome pleated skirt. I think it’s so cute. #tbt

16. My little man that greets me every time I wash dishes. I usually put soap on here but I had to change it up a little.

17.  I love posting quotes on here and my facebook. I think you can tell. Quotes just make me happy. They give me inspiration daily.  I know they are words but I promise if you put quotes up everywhere will make you feel great.

18.  I am happy to end my instagram recap with this one. It’s free and easy to do. Sometimes you don’t realize what a smile can do to a person. You never know what is going on in a person’s life or that day. Your smile could make them feel noticed and all mushy inside. I usually smile at myself when I pass in front of a mirror. Who said smiling at myself won’t make me feel better. Trust me it works.

Well Jaderbug’s I hope you enjoyed seeing my week through the eyes of Instagram. Stay tuned this week I have some NEW VALENTINE crafts going up and they are cuh-yute.
See ya in the next post,

Quote of the day:
No matter how many times you may spray paint, change wheels , clean , or customize a car to look different . It will always be the same. Same goes for people. Our appearances , actions and age may change .. But we will always be the same

Well what a day it has been already! Wait, it’s only 8:39 in the morning. Pfft. Does that ever happen to you? You wake up early and you have done more in the wee hours of the morning than a FULL day’s work. I actually love mornings like that because it makes for a great afternoon nap, hehe.

I couldn’t wait to show you this post because it was so much fun to make it. I love to spray paint EVERYTHING in my life. Depending in my “phase” I am going through. This is a little different than your normal spray painting. It’s “glass spray painting”. When I was sent this from Martha Stewart Crafts I was like… ERR MY GERRDDD, really! Just like your normal spray painting, it can leak and leave spots… only if you don’t practice before. It only took me about a minute before I figured out the pressure and how much comes out in one spray. I have not tried to OMBRE anything yet but I will, don’t cha worry.
Let’s get started!

You can click on the pictures to make them bigger if you like!

spray paint glass

Up above is what we will be making today!

INGREDIENTS:

*Vase
*Martha Stewart Spray Paint Kit
* Alcohol
*Cotton
*Adhesive stencils from Martha Stewart, I used the one called LEAVES
*Martha Stewart Pearl Paint

FYI: You can purchase all of the materials from one spot by clicking on the links in the ingredients.

If you are painting on glass it’s important to use a gloss, metallic, or pearl paint. It works the best. Most of the other ingredients you may have floating around your house. Let’s get it started, y’all.

spray_painted_vase_jaderbomb

The first thing you will do is clean off your glass with alcohol and let it air dry. This will get off any oil residue that may be on the glass. Once it is completely dry stick your adhesive labels where you want them.

spray_painted_vase_jaderbomb

When you get your kit it will come with a few things. The first thing you will need to do is take the clear plastic tube and connect it to the bottom of the spray can. I put a picture above so you can visually see what I mean. Next we will mix our paint in the container. Notice on the back of the gloss spray medium it says to mix 1 part medium to 1 part gloss, metallic, or pearl paint. They have lines on the container so you can measure correctly. Lightly swirl the paint and medium (BEFORE) you attach but do NOT shake. You don’t want to create bubbles inside.

spray_painted_vase_jaderbomb

You will now just screw the container onto the spray can. The most IMPORTANT thing ever is to line up the  red nozzle with the little opening at the bottom of the can. If this is not lined up it will not spray.

spray_painted_vase_jaderbomb

Make sure you are in a well ventilated spot before you start spraying. You want to add a light coat and let it dry, repeat until you are happy with the look. I coated mine as much as I could. I didn’t want to see through the vase at all.  If you notice on my stencils they have the image that is cut out and around it it looks like a rectangle. The reason why I spray painted it this way is because I knew I wanted to see the water in some spots so I created a blocked print with the stencil.

spray_painted_vase_jaderbomb

When I was done I added water, then a little food coloring ( to spice up my water) then added some pretty tulips. You can add any color you want which makes it super fun. If you stick this baby in a window you will just stare at it for about 16 minutes strait. Fa REEL!
Remember these tulips?

Well, I hope you enjoy this tutorial as much as I did! Huge glitterbomb hugs from me to you!

Quote of the day:
“Bigger than life is not difficult for me.  I AM bigger than life.”-Rita Moreno

Well that quote fit me quite perfectly I tell ya! If you ever wonder where I get my quotes from or how I choose them I will tell ya. I have always kept a calendar on my desk where you can tear a page off every day and each day has something new on it. I get them from Barnes and Noble. They usually have a HUGE table to choose from and they range from puzzles, cat’s, dogs, inspirational, sports, funny and anything else you can think of.

Last year Ashy bought me a really great inspirational one.  However this year, I got a really funny one. It’s sorta inspirational but it’s about inspirational WOMEN. I will post a link below to show you the calendar I got because it’s still early in the year and you need this one. Super funny!

Today’s craft is very inspirational. Why you ask? Well because when you water color it relaxes you in a way that you won’t understand unless you do it. I should say enjoying your time doing it will relax you, not if you hurry. It’s magical when you mix two colors together and they blend so easily. For me crafting isn’t just a job, it truly grounds me and gives me a place on this earth.

*Water Color Paint

*Fabric

If you click on the ingredient links you can purchase these items all in one place.

water_colored_flag_bunting_valentines_jaderbomb

The first thing you will do is get strips of fabric ( use a light color so the water color’s show) and start painting whatever you like on it. I wanted to do some geometric shapes and patterns on mine. I will suggest one thing. When it comes to water color the cheaper ones you buy will not have a lot of color pigment in them. I suggest buying the more expensive one because it will be worth it. Don’t worry even the expensive ones are not that expensive.
FYI: you could also buy the ones with 7 colors and mix your own shades!

water_colored_flag_bunting_valentines_jaderbomb

Once you paint on your fabric let them dry over night. When dry cut out triangles. I didn’t measure mine because I wanted them to be different sizes.

water_colored_flag_bunting_valentines_jaderbomb

Once you are done grab your glue gun and some string or twine. Add a little glue to the top of the flag (the back side of your flag) and just place your twine on top of the glue. That’s it!

water_colored_flag_bunting_valentines_jaderbomb

I just love the way they came out. I figured I would start early with my Valentines decor and I think this is beautiful.

I hope you enjoyed this post and you can look forward to new VALENTINE’S day crafts!

Huge hugs, see ya in the next post!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I am so grateful to be here to share the happiness that goes on in my life quite frequently. Today I am sharing a recipe that I got from Martha Stewart’s cupcakes which is her best selling cookbook.

Martha_Stewarts_Lemon_Cupcakes_Jaderbomb

Martha_Stewart_Cupcakes_Jaderbomb

It’s super delicious so I hope you make it ASAP. I swear when I took them out of the oven lil one already had 2 in his belly before I could even frost them. After I made them I saved some for us then I walked around my hood and delivered them to all of my wonderful neighbors. I thought about bringing some to “NEW” neighbors but then I thought they woud prolly say thanks, take it then throw it away (scared it might be laced with something).
{{{btw which is what I would do unless I “knew” them}}}
You never know these days! I have to say the elders love when I bring them baked goods, especially strait out of the oven.

Let’s get started. I attached a free printable of the recipe that I made for you! Enjoy

Sending you BIG hugs and glitterbomb’s,

Wow! what an amazing year it has been. To start off the new year I have a cute last minute New Year’s treat for ya! I always love decorating around a holiday so New Year’s is full o’bling and I love that. Today I will show you how to turn a 3dollor wooden tray into pure bliss. Let’s get started!

How To Decoupage a Wooden Tray

Ingredients:

*Wooden Tray
*Mod Podge
*Brush
*Jewels
*Wrapping Paper
*Glue Gun

How To Decoupage a Wooden Tray

You will continue to Mod Podge until the entire tray is covered. Don’t worry if this is your first time using Mod Podge. It looks Matte when you paint it on but dries clear. Thanks goodness! This is why I use this on the “daily”.

How To Decoupage a Wooden Tray

Once you have it all covered with your material you are using and it’s dry you can start gluing on your jewels.

I just make a line of hot glue then place my jewels down. Don’t do a super long line because it dries pretty fast.

How To Decoupage a Wooden Tray

This is what it will look like when you are done. I think it’s gorgeous and the good thing is it’s super affordable! You can make these for someone and give it to them as a gift!

Here are a few ornaments I put in my tray. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. Can’t wait to see ya in the next post!
