Can you believe last night was the first time we had a chance to carve pumpkins! I ran across this witch template on Martha Stewart’s website and though I needed to do this. I love carving into linoleum so this seemed really fun plus I have never used a linoleum cutter to carve a pumpkin in my life! Let me tell you that if you want to try something different, do this! It gives off the best light and it looks so simple and elegant. Gives a different feel compared to the typical “holes” in a pumpkin.
Let’s get started!!! Hope you don’t mind that I share a little bit of the pumpkin carving night!

| What you want to do first is print out the template for the witch. I attached a link below for you. Then use a ice pick to outline the image by making dots. This will make it a lot easier for you to carve and shave the pumpkin. |

| You want to start by “shaving” with the linoleum cutter the areas that are light orange. Feel free to do more! Oh, I did the other side of my pumpkin with jaderbomb on it!!! |

| Ahh…. So elegant and majestic, right! She is silly! But we love her to pieces! I hope you enjoyed this craft! And if you want to do one for tonight and you don’t have a cutter, you can get one at your local craft store!!! Michael’s usually has anything you are looking for… Check Walmart! Oh and if you do a pumpkin and your light does not show through good, shave off more of the inside with a scraper (or a spoon). You might have to make the pumpkin thinner in the area you are carving. |
