On a recent trip to Perry Georgia I stumbled upon a couple of great places. One of them was this beautiful southern style church. On my way home from the grocery store, I stopped at a red light and noticed this awesome sight!!! I am still not sure what pulled me into the parking lot but I just felt like I needed to view its beauty up close. It was magnificent! Don’t you think so!
This bell is the first thing that greets you when arriving at the church. After doing some research I found out that this 100 year old bell served the community as a fire alarm bell until the early 1900’s.
I wanted so badly to just ring it however I didn’t want to get in trouble~~
This picture below is my favorite one from this trip. It’s so picturesque. For some reason when I think of Georgia I think of Fried Green Tomatoes! The first time I came to Georgia I went eat at the Whistle Stop Cafe. It was so great to be in the same spot that they filmed this movie, and the restaurant (that was in the movie) has stayed the SAME as it was in the movie! Can you believe they did not change anything~
I also made a quick pit stop at this little building they just put up on the side of the road. I don’t think it has any historical meaning but I may be wrong. I am happy I got a couple of good shots but it was really dark and I kept thinking something was gonna get me and I would not be able to run with my big safety boot on… So this is all I got to show you, two measly pictures 🙂
