Howdy Jaderbugs today I will show you how to make the coolest duck tape frame! I do a duck tape post each month and we all know if I could wrap myself in duck tape I would! Especially all of their new designs. I love duck tape because I can transform things in my home within minutes like this frame! Don’t forget to enter my giveaway at the bottom of the post!

Today I will show you an easy way to dress up a frame using the Duck Brand’s new DUCK FABRIC mini rolls. The design I am using in this tutorial is Coral Stripe. I am completely in love with the colors and the pattern. I believe this could go in anyone’s space very easily.

You will need:
*Frame of choice. I like using a distressed frame so the edges show a little character.
*Fabric Duck Tape
*Scissors

Step ONE: Cut a piece of tape that is long enough to hang off both ends of the frame.
Step TWO: Peel the backing off of your fabric tape. Make sure to do it carefully so it does not stick to the other end of the tape.
Using a distressed frame gives the sides some texture also.

How awesome is this print! You can do so much with it aside from making a wallet! These designs are screaming for any adult to play with them! Scouts HONOR! (hehe)Step THREE: Cut all the of the tape that hangs over the edge of frame.
I really love the look of this frame and it’s so easy to create. The good news is this fabric tape can be pulled off when you are tired of it and you can put another design down. MAGICAL!

Check out the fun we had a few weekend’s ago. This demo was special because it was in my home town of Lafayette, La! I was so happy with the participation at this particular event. Everyone passed by and stopped to check out what was going on. So many people said they recall the day’s of boiling water just to dye something and couldn’t believe how easy our system was.

I always love entering giveaway’s. Do you ever enter and as you are putting all of your information in you tell yourself “you are totally not winning this, look how many entries are already in”… I try not to do that but I do. Booo! It just feels like that lottery ticket that you buy, right. For a split minute you can feel the feeling you “would” feel if you actually won then that little thing called reality sets in. How can you overcome this?

Well when you “FEEL” that feeling of winning you have to keep it alive. Every second you think you have no chances of winning you immediately change your thought process and go back to that feeling of winning. It’s better for you anyway!

I think what it comes down to is always thinking Positive. Sometimes it’s hard to stay positive when we have so much to worry about. Let’s face it, there will always be something to bring us down. It’s just how things roll. Things used to bring me down years ago and I would let them just eat at my soul. You know how that works right! Something pops up out of nowhere and BOOM, instant depression. I am pretty sure when you let something negative live in you for too long you can get a small case of the “hates”. We don’t want that! How did I overcome all of this? I just changed my thought process. I try my best to not look at anything as negative or “meant” to happen. If something pops up in my life like a bag of burnt popcorn I just throw the burnt pieces out and eat the ones that are good! It’s that simple.

I know, I know you are wondering if I ever let anything get to me. The answer is of course I do. I am human y’all! It’s actually good to feel bad every now and then but only for a few seconds.

What do you do when negative things pop up in your life?

These day’s it can be hard to find that perfect git to give someone, especially your mother. It can be tricky because no matter how many times you ask them what they want, they will ALWAYS say “oh nothing”… You know what that means. It means I really want something but I don’t want to “ask” for anything. Don’t get me wrong buying a gift in any store can make your mom smile. Those gifts can get pricey also. I have a much better idea for you this year. Make something that is completely unique and special. Yep, you got that right. We are going to make something with our two little hands.

Good news is this craft can be done in a few hours so if you “forget” to get something you can still tackle that special gift.

How flipping cute is this! The one thing I love the most is you can personalize it with whatever words fit your mother. I have included the words I used in this post just incase you want to use them. Let’s get started!

Once you print out the words (attached below) cut them out. You want to get as close to the word as you can. If you don’t want to use the words you can make your own. I used Photoshop but if you don’t have that, use PicMonkey. Plus it’s FREE. It’s really easy to use and you can choose your own font’s and colors.

It’s very easy to use the Decor Attitude. When you take the sheets of film out one side will be super shiny. You want to print on that side of the paper. When it is done printing let it dry for about 2 hours. We just want to make sure it’s completely dry. It’s really that simple Jaderbugs.

Once you have all of your words cut out get your glue stick and coat the section you are applying the word to. I am using Aleene’s max tacky adhesive. This stuff is amazing!

Gently peel the backing off of the word and voila! This is what it will look like. A flimsy piece of film with a word on it.

As soon as you peel the film off of the backing apply it to the candle. Piece of advice. If you go out and get an LED candle make sure you get one that is flat on the surface. I got one that is super textured and it was a little difficult to adhere the film to the candle. It’s ok if you have a textured one because this is still such a special gift!

Tadah!!! Here is your subway art candle.

FYI: Do NOT put this on a real candle. Only LED.
