i feel it in my bones. -tegan and sara
It’s after midnight. I’m tired. I sometimes wonder if anyone realizes how hard it is “some” days to get crafts done. I have been blogging for a couple of years now and phew! I don’t think I EVER stayed up so late just trying to get a craft done! I’m sorry it’s so late but I told y’all I would get this craft up for ya! I hope you like it because it was so fun. OH… Did I mention I’m tired.
Thank you angels for providing me with Tegan and Sara, coke, Christmas tree cakes, and lot’s of good energy. {{and Martha in my head pointing her finger at me}}… Teehee…Amelia, I miss you…
I used RIT dye. It never disappoints me! You can use whatever name brand you like for this craft. It really will not matter that much.
I just grabbed these babies at my local grocery store! You might have to ask because sometimes they are not easy to find!
You want to fill up a bowl with warm water. Put the dye in the water as the instructions say. I like to use powder because I feel like I have a little more control over it!
Put as much as you want in the bowl then put a plate on top. This holds everything down. The longer you keep everything submerged into the water the darker the corn husks’ will be.
Get a wreath made of straw. This baby was only 4 bucks! Can ya believe!
Look how pretty these babies are! When you are ready to use them just take them out of the water and pat them dry. It’s SO easy to pull them into strips! It’s like MAGIC!
Join each of the ends together.
Secure down with a floral pin.
Look how pretty! It reminds me of the candy ribbons my Grandpaw used to give me when I was a little girl… Love you PP….
I am so happy with the way this turned out! It turned out SO awesome! I can’t wait to make a CHRISTMAS one! Have fun making this jaderbugs!
Sending you loads and loads of sleep that I want, your tired jaderbomb
