How to make a Tissue Garland

Well happy day after labor day! How was your weekend? I totally wanted to post more crafts this weekend but I honestly just didn’t feel like it. I know, what kind of person am I?

If it makes things a lil better, I DID crafts.. I was just too lazy after I finished them! Good news is, I will be putting them all up this week!!! YAY FOR YOUUUU~~~

Tru-st me, they are worth coming back for!

I am ready to get started!

left: tissue paper
right: rotary mat (or you can just use scissors)

left: ruler. you can use whatever you have, this is just used to hold tissue down while cutting
middle: rotary cutter ( or you can use scissors lol)
right: twine (you can use any other rope that you would like)

p.s. place your tissue down on rotary mat. when you take the tissue paper out of packaging you want to unfold it till there is only ONE fold in the paper. then leave it just like that.

left: place ruler down on tissue paper
right: use rotary cutter to cut
{{remember, you can use scissors if you don’t have these materials LOL}}

left: this is what your strips should look like when you are done cutting them
right: remember when I told you to keep ONE fold in tissue before you cut… if you did it correctly this is what your strips should look like. i just used a knife to separate the tissue.

left: this is what it will look like after you separate the tissue
right: twist the middle section of the tissue leaving each side still loose
(remember, don’t twist too hard because it will tear the tissue)

left: you want to put twisted part of tissue on top of the twine….
right: then fold each side over and twist them together.

p.s. this is what they should start to look like. you can add as many colors as you would like~~~

p.s. tadahh… how cute are these little suckers! you want to keep in mind that they should “hang” from something otherwise you won’t get the {{dangling}} effect!!! I just used thumbtacks to hang them from the ceiling.

p.s. i know it looks like it’s touching the wall but I promise it’s not!!!

p.s. i love love love the silver tissue paper! and the cool thing is you can just replace or add certain colors for different holidays!!!!

The cool thing is it’s super easy and so much fun to do. Let me warn you ahead of time that it is very time consuming! Although it is worth it in the end!!!!

I have to tell you REAL quick that while shopping for “last” minute things before this ole TROPICAL STORM hits, I ran across this. Now if you know me then you know I’m a real fan of {{o-natural}} things. GO GREEN!!!

For real. If you have not SMELLED this yummylicious stuff you better go out and get some NOW!

It is the most awesomest smell I have ever smelled in the entire world.

Do you know what AVEDA’S “shampure” smells like?

If you love that smell then you will LOVE this!! For real.

(i started dancing in my kitchen because I have become obsessed with it!)

I just can’t find enough stuff to clean

Did I mention how affordable these babies are? VERY!

and don’t forget, they are ECO friendly and they ARE NOT TESTED ON ANIMALS!

p.s. and i got hand soap and dish soap to try!!!

FOR real… this smell stays on your hands for like 50 hours. I can’t stop smelling my hands.

DIY: Crayon ART

Hone bunches of OATS…. That’s how much fun I had doing this craft!!! I don’t know about you but when I was little I used to ~~constantly~~ smell the crayons before I would use them. It’s like I had to make sure it smelled like a “crayon” was supposed to smell like. Thinking back on the whole {{life}} thing…..I always smelled stuff. Crazy because I am the same way today, prolly worse… Teehaheheheheh.

Well let’s get to the nitty gritty!

This craft is PROLLY the first one in a lonnnnnngg time that I miss already.

Hairnet owns is now. She fell in love with it. How could I say no?

p.s. all you will need is a pack of crayons… i used some ole ones that nobody used anymore…. I mean who does NOT use crayons!!! Phew. Oh, and a canvas. Any size will do! WAIT you can’t forget about a blow dryer.

p.s. then you want to line them up the way you want them. remember you can do whatever you want at this point. i like putting them in the same family of colors!!!

p.s. just pick up one crayon and apply a little hot glue to the back of it… then just press that little sucker down onto the canvas. keep in mind you don’t want to press too hard because then your canvas will stretch.

p.s. this is what it should look like once you hot glue ALL of them down!!!

p.s. now comes the fun part! just hold you dryer SORTA close to the crayons. I like to hold it toward the top of the crayon and leave it for a couple of seconds. you will see the crayons just melt before your eyes.
REMEMBER! you always want to keep the air going “downwards” because it literally blows the hot wax in every direction.

p.s. seriously. i can’t even stress to you how beautiful this is in person! it’s like heaven on a canvas. you can run your hands across it and it’s full of awesome tecture. you can smell it if you have a smell fetish.. {{teeheheheh}} or you can just stare at it for HOURS… just have fun with it!

Party decor with Paint Samples

SO it’s totally and completely HUMP day!!! I would like to meet the person who came up with that! Right!!! I have another craft from the “bday” weekend. I told you I have a couple….

BUT IM EVIL

I will make you wait and get a little bit at a time!! {{{teeeheheheh}}}

This craft was SO fun to make. You can do so much with these little suckers. You can make streamers, door hangers, window hangers… ya get it right!!!

p.s. you can use any color paint samples you want!!! That is the fun part!!!

p.s. keep in mind you don’t need alot of glue! JUST A DAB!!!!

p.s. just lay your string down (you can use ANY string you want) and put another paint chip on top…{faced up of course}

Gold Leaf Nails

What is it with nails lately? It’s like there is this underground world of nail painting competitors. Yes ya know what I mean. If you log onto PINTEREST I tell ya, there is every nail design you can think of! You can fine flamingo’s, rulers, paper design, fading, swirling, polka-dotting nails ALL OVER!!!
I’m an Artist. My nails never lived a day long. They are always painted. They are always filed. I don’t bite them. They are not SUPER short. It’s like the more I look at all these crazy cool designs I start to feel bare with just ONE color. So if you follow my blog you will know that I just put up a “UP” nail tutorial. If you want to see it click HERE. Plus it is really cute and really fun.
The other morning while flipping through billions of recordings on our DVR I though about a design.
GOLD LEAF!! Yah. I’ve never seen that before.
Now you have to bare with my super {{not}} nail tutorials.
They are not the “most” descriptive suckers but you will get what I am trying to say. {{at least I hope you do!}}

I’ve got news for ya

It’s done. I have finally decided to put myself to the test. Yes. That is right. Ya know, I have a huge idol. Well maybe I should say MUSE. Yes. She lives inside of me as I am sure she does in plenty of other souls. Sometimes I pretend I am her. Have you ever seen her hands? She is just magnificent I tell ya. She makes every craft seem like walking on water. She is the craft god. Have you guessed who I am talking about? Come on….. Think….

Yes. Whoever is reading this, I will just tell you that your right.

MARTHA STEWART.

Little ole me has decided to live in “her” shoes for 100 days and do 100 of HER crafts. I am not sure why I am doing this because I already have quite a crazy life. I think I wanna test myself. Accomplish something that for some reason seems out of reach. I mean, I know I can do it. I’m not sure who really cares if I do it but I do.

Now I know everyone is thinking “well what about all the crafts YOU come up with”…

Well you will still get those. I know, I ‘m crazy!

I mean this is the deal. I just wanna feel like I have walked in Martha’s shoes for a period in time. I don’t wanna get rid of me. Just look at it as your getting double the crafts.

I will make sure to mark the titles of the blogs in a manner that you will understand.

For example:

If it’s a “jaderbomb” craft I will still put it like I always do
