Michaels Dream Tree Challenge Reveal

This is my first year that I get to make a tree for Michaels and I will tell you I had so much fun! There are so many talented bloggers involved with the #MichaelsMakers #TagATree challenge this year and I feel so honored to be one of them! WAHOO! It’s finally time to reveal my MICHAELS DREAM TREE! I can’t even begin to tell you how much fun I had creating this tree! If you know anything about me then you know I love black and white stripes. I mean, if I could wear stripes all day every day I would be happy… (minus being behind bars)… I wanted to take this tree to a whole new level with more DIY ornaments than I have ever done. Stay tuned I will be sharing how I made the ornaments later this week. I wanted to tie in my quirky personality with the stripes so I added some fun creamy pastel shades throughout the tree. The great thing about black and white is you can throw in any accent color and it will look fabulous!

I was super excited when Michaels sent me this 7ft Willow Christmas Tree! The tree was completely brown but I wanted to lighten it up a little so I flocked some of the branches and even a few ornaments. Of course I flocked the tree before I added my ornaments but once it was complete I added a little more flock. I really wanted a “white” christmas! I live in Louisiana so we know the chances of that happening are very slim!
