Pom Pom’s… It’s what’s for dinner. Well not really but if I could eat them I would. Why is it when I encounter fun things my insides bubble? For instance I just came home from Wal-Mart and when I was there I saw a Lisa Frank notebook. I literally had to stand in the isle for 10 minutes debating with myself on reasons I need it and reasons I don’t. Did I end up buying it, NO.  On another fly note I am pumped to show you this tutorial. I love the look of felt balls and I started thinking of an easier way to make a felt ball garland minus the felt balls. I found a normal bag of pom poms at Hobby Lobby the other day for maybe $1.00. Yep, I bought them! Come with me and I will show you how to make a garland made with Pom Poms.
Garland made with Pom Poms

you will need

*Baker’s Twine
*Pom-Pom’s (got these from Hobby Lobby)
*Glue Gun

Garland made with Pom Poms

The materials you need for this project are minimal. Baker’s twine and a bag of pom poms. Plug in your glue gun, when it’s super hot glue the pom poms to the twine! That’s it y’all!

I love the way they look and remind me of a vintage room. Maybe I just like anything bright and fun against white walls.

I am off to edit pictures for tomorrow’s post! See ya then.
Glittered hugs from me to you!

Quote of the day:
“No problem of human destiny is beyond human means.”-John F. Kennedy

As I sit here with a hot cup of cocoa I am enjoying thinking back on our Christmas. Even though it’s over I will not be sad because we had a great Christmas (season). Sometimes life get’s so chaotic that you forget to enjoy the MIDDLE. You know those moments when you are so focused on the end getting here that you totally miss out on what happens in between. I’m sure just like everyone else reading this there are some things that you wish were a little different or wished for things to happen in a different way but why stress over things that are not worth stressing over! I wanted to share with you a few things that put a smile on my face this season.

How to grow a tulip

One of our good friends Reno sent us a HUGE box full of flowers last week. I have to say it was so fun when we went to our front door to find a HUGE box there. I was like “what what”.  I had to share a close up of one of the tulips. They are still so pretty. It was a mix of red and white. I wish they lasted forever because they make me smile so much. Thanks Reno, we love you.

Tips on making a Gingerbread House

The next thing that was super awesome this year was our gingerbread house. We do one every year but this year we really outdid ourselves. A few years ago Ash bought me a cookie cutter set to make your own homemade gingerbread house and can you believe we have never used it? It’s like I forget every year! Next year we will use it “fo sho”. Wanna know why? Cause the ones you buy in the store will break yo teeth! How do you like Ash’s little person on a couch. I think it’s so cute. Lil one went crazy with icing on the house!

How to decorate a christmas tree

I am so sad. Today we took down our beautiful tree. This year we put up 3 trees but this one was my favorite. Click HERE to see before and after of our tree. This month I was featured on Yahoo!Homes AND they featured two of my DIY tutorials. Click HERE to check out the article. I really loved the wrapping paper that looked like an old newspaper so much that I made sure to keep some after the presents were open. Stay tuned for a tutorial with it this week!

Teal and White Decor

Last thing I am MOST excited about is this little beauty that I actually bought last night at Target. I went to check out the things on clearance and as we were leaving Lil one said “Mom!, check this out. It’s totally you”… I wasn’t sure if I wanted to cry just because he “know’s” me so well or cry because he is so thoughtful. If you are wondering if I bought it, YEP! I pretty much fell in love with it as soon as I saw it.

Teal and White Decor

I actually decided that next year my “Christmas Decor” will be based around this little beauty. I am not sure of the name brand because it didn’t have it on the actual house. There was only ONE so I’m sorry! I will try to find out. I can’t wait to have a glistening candy land next year!

I hope you enjoyed a little view into my Christmas! So excited to share some BIG news with you but I have to wait a little longer! (eeekk I hate waiting to share fun things, and this is FUN)

Stay tuned for some funny funn fun DIY tutorials in the next few days. If you are wondering where I have been for the last few day’s I kinda took off just to enjoy my family! But I am back and FULL O’ GAS!

See ya in the next post!

First off, I want to wish you and your family a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!
That required BIG letters which usually means “yelling” over the computer!
I will be back up and running like a new transformer Santa left under the tree but until then… XOXO love you all!

I will be taking off a few day’s to be with my family but I will be back posting very soon! I will miss each and every one of you so much.

Quote of the day:
“Climb the mountains and get their good tidings.”-John Muir

Oh HAPPY day! It’s gloomy outside and we have not had sun for a few day’s. Most of the time this weather makes me feel just like it looks! However, since it’s Christmas time I couldn’t even imagine the sun beaming through my windows right now. It actually feel’s like what you would imagine “Christmas” would look like here in Louisiana. Well…minus the snow, cold weather and fire places burning. Good news is we are supposed to get a cold front tonight.
{{insert a loud YAYYYYY}}

The other day I got home and found a NICE brown box sitting at my front door. I got super excited and couldn’t wait to see what it was. When I finally got to it I was pleased to see it was from my friends at Martha Stewart.

As I started to open it I realized it was all great things to use for the Holiday’s and GREAT last minute items to pick up for your holiday decor.  I will post some now and some later today so make sure to come back. Let’s get started!

The first thing are these babies!

I absolutely love the way they look on our window. I put them above our kitchen sink so I can feel happy every time I look out of the window. What I love about them is they will not stick to your windows like stickers do,  which makes it super easy to take off. Since they are window clings you can store them in a bag for the next year and use them all over. You can even put them in your vehicle to add some Holiday spirit. At night when I light all of the candles on the window seal they look so pretty!

The color palette for them are soft and delicate. I love the jewel in the middle of them.

I put them outside on one of our sheds. It added a little “Holiday-ness” to it and I love them!
They are so easy to make which is why you could go grab some and put them up in 10 minutes!

See ya in the next post! Don’t forget to make it a DIY kinda day!

Disclosure: I received products from  Martha Stewart Crafts ,however all of the opinions in this post are my own.

Happy Thursday Jaderbugs! I couldn’t wait to make this for you one day. It seemed like I kept putting it off and little one kept reminding me that I “STILL” didn’t make it.  So I decided this was the perfect time. I hope you enjoy it as much as my family enjoys it.
We like to make this, put a movie on and sit together pulling off each little piece. It’s like an edible puzzle.

Oh, and when you put the biscuit pieces in the container to SHAKE let your kids get involved by doing that task. It is sorta like dancing with food. {haha}

 MONKEY BREAD -RECIPE

MONKEY BREAD

1 CUP WHITE SUGAR
1 TEASPOON CINNAMON
1 BLOCK OF MARGARINE
3/4 CUP BROWN SUGAR
2 CANS (10 COUNT) BISCUITS
CRISCO

BEFORE YOU START PUT YOUR STOVE ON AT 350 DEGREES

1. GREASE BUNDT PAN WITH CRISCO. CUT BISCUITS INTO QUARTERS THEN CUT THE QUARTERS IN HALF.

2. MIX SUGAR AND CINNAMON IN A LARGE TUPPERWARE CONTAINER

3. PLACE BISCUITS PIECES INTO CONTAINER AND SHAKE UNTIL THEY ARE COATED. THIS USUALLY DOES NOT TAKE LONG AT ALL

4. SEPARATE AND DROP INTO THE BUNDT PAN.

5. GET A SMALL POT AND MELT YOUR BUTTER AND BROWN SUGAR. WHEN IT IS COMPLETELY MELTED POUR THIS MIXTURE OVER YOUR BISCUITS IN YOUR BUNDT PAN.

BAKE FOR 35 MINUTES

WHEN THE TIME IS UP REMOVE FROM THE OVEN AND TURN IT OVER IMMEDIATELY ON WHATEVER YOU ARE PUTTING IT ON.

I USUALLY “WIGGLE” IT OUT BY MOVING MY BUNDT PAN WHILE IT IS ON MY PLATTER.

THAT’S IT JADERBUGS! IT’S THAT SIMPLE.
