sponsored-postHowdy Jaderbugs today I will show you how to make the coolest duck tape frame! I do a duck tape post each month and we all know if I could wrap myself in duck tape I would! Especially all of their new designs. I love duck tape because I can transform things in my home within minutes like this frame! Don’t forget to enter my giveaway at the bottom of the post!

Today I will show you an easy way to dress up a frame using the Duck Brand’s new DUCK FABRIC mini rolls. The design I am using in this tutorial is Coral Stripe. I am completely in love with the colors and the pattern. I believe this could go in anyone’s space very easily.

Duck Tape Frame

You will need:
*Frame of choice. I like using a distressed frame so the edges show a little  character.
*Fabric Duck Tape

distressed frame suppliesDress up a frame
Step ONE: Cut a piece of tape that is long enough to hang off both ends of the frame.
Step TWO: Peel the backing off of your fabric tape. Make sure to do it carefully so it does not stick to the other end of the tape. duck tape fabric tape
Using a distressed frame gives the sides some texture also.

How awesome is this print! You can do so much with it aside from making a wallet! These designs are screaming for any adult to play with them! Scouts HONOR! (hehe)How to use Duck TapeStep THREE: Cut all the of the tape that hangs over the edge of frame.
I really love the look of this frame and it’s so easy to create. The good news is this fabric tape can be pulled off when you are tired of it and you can put another design down. MAGICAL!scissors to cut duck tape

tie dye your summer

Check out the fun we had a few weekend’s ago. This demo was special because it was in my home town of Lafayette, La! I was so happy with the participation at this particular event. Everyone passed by and stopped to check out what was going on. So many people said they recall the day’s of boiling water just to dye something and couldn’t believe how easy our system was.
(doing the Wop right now)

Check out my latest post for the I love to create blog. Just trust me there are certain ways to get this so check out the whole blog post to get all of the steps. Long gone are the days of only tie – dyeing your old t-shirts. Every two weeks I post on their site which is redonkulously (pronounced RE-DONK-U-LUS-LEE) awesome.  Make sure to follow my blog to find out when I make something new!  Here are a few of my recent posts.

Craft Attitude Giveaway Winner JaderbombPhoto Courtesy of:   K bost

Congrats! I am super stoked about announcing the winner of the Craft Attitude giveaway.

Glenda I hope you are jumping for joy! You are the WINNER.
(Please check your email, I don’t have your last name)

I always love entering giveaway’s. Do you ever enter and as you are putting all of your information in you tell yourself  “you are totally not winning this, look how many entries are already in”… I try not to do that but I do. Booo! It just feels like that lottery ticket that you buy, right. For a split minute you can feel the feeling you “would” feel if you actually won then that little thing called reality sets in. How can you overcome this?

Well when you “FEEL” that feeling of winning you have to keep it alive. Every second you think you have no chances of winning you immediately change your thought process and go back to that feeling of winning. It’s better for you anyway!

I think what it comes down to is always thinking Positive.  Sometimes it’s hard to stay positive when we have so much to worry about. Let’s face it, there will always be something to bring us down. It’s just how things roll.  Things used to bring me down years ago and I would let them just eat at my soul. You know how that works right! Something pops up out of nowhere and BOOM, instant depression. I am pretty sure when you let something negative live in you for too long you can get a small case of the “hates”. We don’t want that!  How did I overcome all of this? I just changed my thought process. I try my best to not look at anything as negative or “meant” to happen. If something pops up in my life like a bag of burnt popcorn I just throw the burnt pieces out and eat the ones that are good! It’s that simple.

I know, I know you are wondering if I ever let anything get to me. The answer is of course I do. I am human y’all! It’s actually good to feel bad every now and then but only for a few seconds.

Is your bag of popcorn all burnt? Wanna learn how to bring that butter corn puffs back to life and see rainbows in your dreams? Check out the SECRET website. This should help you for sure!  I play this game every single day and you should too! I hope I made you smile a litte today. See you in the next post!

What do you do when negative things pop up in your life?

These day’s it can be hard to find that perfect git to give someone, especially your mother. It can be tricky because no matter how many times you ask them what they want, they will ALWAYS say “oh nothing”… You know what that means. It means I really want something but I don’t want to “ask” for anything. Don’t get me wrong buying a gift in any store can make your mom smile.  Those gifts can get pricey also. I have a much better idea for you this year. Make something that is completely unique and special. Yep, you got that right. We are going to make something with our two little hands.

Good news is this craft can be done in a few hours so if you “forget” to get something you can still tackle that special gift.

We are going to throw some “attitude” in the mix. What? You don’t know what I am talking about! Well I am talking about an amazing product called Craft Attitude. Today I will be using the Décor Attitude.

Don’t forget to enter at the bottom of my post to win a fabulous Craft Attitude prize package.
The lucky winner will receive all eight Craft Attitude products: Shoe Attitude, Scrapbooking Attitude, Wood Attitude, Jewelry Attitude, Decor Attitude, Magnet Attitude, Flower Attitude and Quilt Attitude. WAHOO!

Make sure to check out my other crafty friends:  April 22: Gloria Uhler. April 25: Jaderbomb. April 29: Megan Elizabeth. May 2: Cyn Gagen. May 6: The Graphics Fairy. May 9: Allison Kreft Abad. So be sure to check out their projects (and their giveaways).

How flipping cute is this! The one thing I love the most is you can personalize it with whatever words fit your mother. I have included the words I used in this post just incase you want to use them. Let’s get started!

you will need

Once you print out the words (attached below) cut them out. You want to get as close to the word as you can. If you don’t want to use the words you can make your own. I used Photoshop but if you don’t have that, use PicMonkey. Plus it’s FREE. It’s really easy to use and you can choose your own font’s and colors.

It’s very easy to use the Decor Attitude. When you take the sheets of film out one side will be super shiny. You want to print on that side of the paper.  When it is done printing let it dry for about 2 hours. We just want to make sure it’s completely dry. It’s really that simple Jaderbugs.

Once you have all of your words cut out get your glue stick and coat the section you are applying the word to.  I am using Aleene’s max tacky adhesive. This stuff is amazing!

Gently peel the backing off of the word and voila! This is what it will look like. A flimsy piece of film with a word on it.

As soon as you peel the film off of the backing apply it to the candle. Piece of advice. If you go out and get an LED candle make sure you get one that is flat on the surface. I got one that is super textured and it was a little difficult to adhere the film to the candle.  It’s ok if you have a textured one because this is still such a special gift!

Tadah!!! Here is your subway art candle.

FYI: Do NOT put this on a real candle. Only LED.

mother's day subway words

You can save this picture to your desk top and print it out if you want to use the words I am using. I hope you enjoyed this post! See you in the next one!

Don’t forget about my GIVEAWAY!

Happy 12 month’s of MARTHA! I am so glad you are here and I know you will love the tutorial I am sharing and the giveaway I am doing!  This month’s box of goodies made me smile from ear to ear. I especially loved the floral paisley adhesive silk screens.  Trust me when you use them you will become addicted. I made some fancy apothecary jars using them. Martha always knows what I love.
Let’s get started.

Oh, if you are not familiar with the 12 months of Martha let me tell you about it.

I will be sharing a new project each month using Martha Stewart Crafts.
#12monthsofmartha & #marthastewartcrafts <——(this is the hashtag you can use if you repin this or want to see other’s who are a part of this project)

I am super giddy about it and I think you will too. Each month you will get to see new items from the Martha Stewart crafts line that is brand spanking new~

So yes! You will be seeing things that are not yet in the stores…

You can find all of her products at Michael’s Arts and Crafts, Jo-Anns Fabrics & Crafts and Amazon.com.

I’ll be giving away Martha swag monthly – so be sure to subscribe to my email updates… —–> LOOK AT THE TOP RIGHT!

How simple, cute and elegant are these apothecary jars?! Seriously, these would look great in any room. I made them for my kitchen and I filled them with coffee, tea and pomegranate powder for my water.

 You will need:

You can purchase all of the above supplies by clicking on the links.

Don’t you just love these great colors. Someday’s when I feel down I just go in my studio and look through my tubes of paint. They are filled with happiness I tell ya.  For this project I used Geranium and Pool.
(colors of paint)

When you open your pack of silk screens they will look like the picture above, all connected on one sheet.

If you notice they have white lines separating each design. You should cut along the line to separate them.

This is how they will look once you cut them.

Find the image you want to use and gently peel the silk screen off of the paper. I like to start on a corner. Plus if it get’s crinkled it will not mess up the actual image. Once you remove the silk screen place it where you want on the glass.

Once you apply your silk screen to the glass add a bead of paint right above the image.

Get your squeegee and pull the paint down over the image. I suggest going from the top to the bottom in one stroke. It will make the paint consistent and even. Repeat the step if you have to do it in two layers.

As soon as you finish, peel the silk screen off of the glass. Very important that you wash it immediately.  If you let the paint dry on the silk screen it will not work properly again. Once you wash it lay it out on a towel to dry.

Move on to your next jar.

It’s really that simple. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial!  I have some great news… I am doing a GIVEAWAY featuring the supplies I used today… HOW AMAZING.  Please enter by putting your information in the Rafflecopter box below. I am excited to see who will win all of these products. Don’t forget to share this fun giveaway with your friends.
