How to make jewelry using Bottle Caps

So! It has been 3 days since my second You Tube DIY tutorial! If you have not seen it you can click HERE and check it out~ I realized after filming that I kind of skipped a couple of important things. I think this will help you out if you had any questions.
This craft is really fun and very easy. Use your imagination because you can change this project up and add more or less depending on your personal taste.
Ingredients:
~Bottle Caps
~Spray Paint
~Hammer
~Pliers
~Chain
~Nail
So are you ready? I am!

The first thing you will do is put the bottle cap on a hard surface and smash it with your hammer. Easiest way to do this is to make sure the flat part of the bottle cap is facing upward and hit that side first. Then flip it over and smash the rough edges down so it will not cut you. A big hammer works best but use whatever you have available.

As you can see below it becomes really flat once you hammer it.

Here are some that I have done.

You will lay them out on something like wood or the ground so you can spray paint them.
Make sure and follow the directions of the spray paint to get the best result.

I used Rust-Oleum because I love the texture it creates. If you choose to use this you will have to let them dry outside longer than regular spray paint.

Once the top part is dry you will flip them over and spray the underneath. Before it is dry just sprinkle your favorite glitter on them.

Once they are completely dry you will put a hole in the bottle cap by hitting it where you want with your hammer and nail. You just want to hit the nail until it makes a hole then you will pull it out.
(You DO NOT want to put a hole in the middle of the bottle cap like I am doing below. I was having trouble holding everything and taking a picture 🙂

You will get your findings now and open them up with your pliers. I used two pairs and pretended they were my hands. This will make it easier to open and close them.

Get your chain out now. Once you open your findings you will use one and put it through your hole on the bottle cap. Next you will put it through one of the chain links and then close it. By doing this you are attaching it securely so it will not fall off.

You got the hang of it, right?! I bet it looks GREAT!!!!
You can choose the way you want to arrange the bottle caps. It’s your design. You are the ARTIST here.

Once I was done attaching the bottle caps I put this on the end of my chain. You can get these at your local craft store. I will attach a link at the top so you can see how they come in a pack.

This is the other end.

TADAHHHH!!!! Your very own unique bottle cap bracelet. Come on, tell me what store you can buy one of these at. Make them for your friends and family. They will love it~
And I promise nobody will have the one you have!

I hope you enjoyed making this as much as I did!!
