1.Ring around the Rosie Necklace: I had so much fun using Martha Stewart’s new line of jewelry. It was fun to create something that anyone could wear!

2. Happily Ever After Printable: When I made this I pictured it in someones home, in a shabby chic vintage white frame with a candle next to it. Doesn’t it make you want it more now!

3.  Cupcake Liner Party Hat: I had so much fun making this only because it was not a planned craft. This will make anyone smile and if it doesn’t then put the hat on and dance like a monkey, that should work.

12monthsofmarthaI have to admit that this months box of goodies was quite delightful. Mainly because it was filled with Martha Stewart’s new line of jewelry. Delightful to me means I was shaking my head for a minute trying to figure out what I was going to make. I will say, I am pretty darn crafty Jaderbugs but me making jewelry?! I have to be honest the box was making me a little nervous until I lit my Nag Champa in my studio and threw on my favorite play list. I quickly realized that Martha knew what she was doing when she designed this line. She figured out a way to make it easy for anyone to make classy pieces of jewelry in a heartbeat. Check out this video to hear Martha’s message.

Martha, if you are reading this… YOU ROCK
{{ok, this is asking a lot but if you do read this just shoot me a comment and let me know what you think, hehe}}

I love these beads so much. Anytime I see “Ombre” I replay Martha telling me about Oscar de la Renta’s Ombre craze on the show and how beautiful his gowns were.
One day I will wear one of those!

martha-stewart-crafts-jewelry-jaderbomb

||First thing you will do is cut the wire that’s holding all of the beads together. I like to snip it on the tip.

martha-stewart-crafts-jewelry-jaderbomb

||Grab your wire and wrap it around one of loops.
It’s really important to coat the whole strand of chain with beads so start as close to the edge as possible.

 martha-stewart-crafts-jewelry-jaderbomb

The catch to this is pretending you are a kid jumping through hoops. I swear it’s that simple. Put a bead on, pass the wire through the next loop then add another bead. Continue doing this until your chain is completely filled with blue beads.

martha-stewart-crafts-jewelry-jaderbomb

I used the colors in the order they came in. The Ombre look is what I was going for.

When you get to the end secure with a jewelry clasp and VOILA! You just made a unique piece of jewelry. I hope you have fun with this new collection!

Well here goes another great month of “crafty” crafts. I am having so much fun doing the 12 month’s of Martha every  month. This month I received a great big box box full of Martha goodies. Of course I always open the box and the first thing I think of is “What can I make with all of these materials”…
Then I realize that would end up looking like a hot mess, haha. I have always wanted an herb garden, you know the kind  that is small, cute and you can keep it in your kitchen.  Can you believe I finally made one! You can too. Seriously, it so easy and fun.

Let’s get started Jaderbugs!

yarn-wrapped-herb-garden-jaderbomb

Isn’t this herb garden so cute! My favorite thing is that it looks quite elegant with the little white stripes wrapping all the way around the container. I never thought I would wrap yarn around something to display in my home but this yarn is so “fannnnncyyy”. (Say that like you are from the South)

you will need jaderbomb

*Decorative paper
*Layering Punch, Flourish Frame
*Craft Glue
*Mambo Yarn
*Baker’s Twine
*Herbs
*Wooden Skewers

You can purchase all of the items I used by clicking on the linky links!

Get together whatever herbs you love and some garden soil.

I wanted to show you how beautiful this mambo yarn is up close.
You can braid it, knot it, wrap it or make jewelry. You can even use it as a trim for home décor and fashion accessories.

It’s made of  75% Acrylic, 7% Wool, 9% Nylon, 6% Viscose, 3% Angora

yarn-wrapped-herb-garden-jaderbombThis new double punch punches a solid shape and the die cut shape. I think this is the coolest thing ever.
Another good thing is it stands up right on their own, which makes for easy storage.

See, you can get the solid shape in a jiffy.

yarn-wrapped-herb-garden-jaderbomb

If you don’t want the solid shape you can get the frame. This frame will fit completely around the solid shape.

yarn-wrapped-herb-garden-jaderbomb

Get any container you want to put your herbs in.

yarn-wrapped-herb-garden-jaderbomb

Start by adding a dab of hot glue on the container and gently placing the yarn on top of it.

yarn-wrapped-herb-garden-jaderbomb

Continue wrapping until it is all covered. I love it just like this, right!

yarn-wrapped-herb-garden-jaderbomb

Once you are completely done fill that baby up with soil and herbs.

yarn-wrapped-herb-garden-jaderbomb

With your double punch, punch out the solid shape and the frame.  When you buy flowers or herbs they have that little label in the soil that says the name of herb and how to take care of it. I cut the picture from the label off then glued it on top of the solid shape. When done place the frame over it.

yarn-wrapped-herb-garden-jaderbomb

On the back I put the name of the actual herb just incase I forget.

yarn-wrapped-herb-garden-jaderbomb

If you want the make the labels I just showed you you will need:

*Glue
* Skewer
*Baker’s Twine

yarn-wrapped-herb-garden-jaderbomb

Spread a little craft glue on the stick.  Rub it thoroughly over the stick with your finger.

yarn-wrapped-herb-garden-jaderbomb

Wrap the baker’s twine around the stick while the glue is still wet.

yarn-wrapped-herb-garden-jaderbomb

VOILA! This is what you will be left with. A hunka burning love on your kitchen window seal!

I hope you enjoyed this post and would really love if you shared this wonderful craft!

Happy Tuesday Jaderbugs! I am super stoked about this week. I am finishing up on something HUGE and although I can’t tell you now, I promise to share in about a week. I know, I know… You are probably shaking your head at me right!

My good friend Ed Roth designed all of the stencils that I used today. I always look at his stencils and try to figure out what I love the most about them. I finally figured it out. It’s the simplicity of them. So many people think stencils have to be super detailed (don’t get me wrong he has a lot of perfectly detailed stencils) but you get what I mean. It’s the simplicity and repetition of shapes that attracts me the most to his stencils. I have been wondering what I would make with his small stencils and lemme tell you I figured it out.  Since I am always mailing notes to friends I figured it would be much better if they opened an envelope to a hand crafted note card. RIGHT!

If you are thinking on the save wave path as me then let’s hurry and get on the stencil train…..or stencil ride…or whatever ride, cause it’s time to do stenciled notecards.

Stenciled Notecards

Don’t you love how detailed they are! I just know I will make someone smile with them!

* Blank envelopes
*Blank notecards
*Stencil 1 stencils
*Stencil pouncer

How to make stenciled notecards

Start by placing the stencil on top of the note card. Gently press one side of the stencil to make sure it does not move.

How to make stenciled notecards

You can use any stencil you want for this project. When you move to the next section of the note card place the top line of the stencil on the last one that you painted. This will give you consistency overall.

I put a little squirt of each color I am using on my pallet. I love the way dried paint looks.

How to make stenciled notecards

Make sure to dab in multiple colors when doing one card. You can add a few colors to make it pop.

If you want you can even stencil the envelope!

I hope you enjoyed this crafterooo boo boo! Now off to get some other crafts done. Don’t forget to find me here! Let me know in the comments what color notecard is your favorite. I’d LOVE to know!
