How to make Container Magnets

Happy Tuesday!!

When it comes to storage I am a obsessed! I am always looking for cool new things to incorporate in my every day life. Let’s face it, not everyone can just go to a “craft store” and drop THOUSANDS of dollars on things to organize with! But, what you CAN do is start “re-using” things that you already have!!! It’s quite amazing if you think about it! Just like the craft I am doing today! I thought Martha’s idea to use spice can’s was so useful. I don’t know about you but I LOVE these little can’s that the spices are in. I actually had these two spice cans prior to this craft. I honestly bought them because of the way they looked!

They have a “vintage” look to them!!! So unique! The cool thing is you can use ANY can! So keep your eyes open!!!!

p.s. i just used some little round magnets and super glue for this craft!

p.s. seriously… how cute are these sucker-tashes……..

p.s. please for the life of the container: be careful!!! i just used a knife to pop off the top. they can be a task in itself so be patient!

p.s. make sure you don’t glue your fingers together {{no, i swear it didn’t happen to me :/}}

p.s. i just love the simplicity of these babies!

p.s. seriously the are so helpful on the icebox!!!! (or fridge) teehehehe

p.s. just thought i would add a different little container for ya!

I seriously from the bottom of my canister {{that hangs on my fridge}} hope you enjoyed this craft!

I can say that this craft was NOT stressful at all so if you have the materials it will seriously take you 10 min from start to finish! Did I mention that these make great gifts? You could even go buy some and empty the contents into a bag or container then use them!!!!

CORK RING Tutorial

Oh howdy hoo my little jaderbugs!!! I am sooooo very sorry I didn’t have time to post this craft yesterday! Honestly I had the most surreal day ever!!! I don’t wanna “jinx” the situation BUT….

someone from MARTHA STEWART’S TEAM contacted me yesterday!!! ((jumping around over and over and over). That’s all I can really say at this point so… Keep your prayers coming!!!! I might not get too much out today because I am having trouble breathing.. {{yes, my heart is still stuck in my throat beating on and off and turning every shade of the color spectrum}}…. Do you have (any) idea how this feels!!!

p.s. i used a glue gun with the larger sticks of glue but you can use any size you want!

p.s. omg! i found these at michaels arts and crafts for only $1.99!!!
can you imagine the things i will be using these babies for now that i know how inexpensive they are…. {{i mean if i buy 200, then it could be expensive lol}}

p.s. i just used old corks from wine bottles! if you don’t have enough to make one of these little suckers i am sure you could start asking around and before you know it you will have more than you NEED!!!!

p.s. be careful here because the glue can be really hot! {{and i would know}}.. you want to “almost” stagger the corks so they all fit nicely together.. kinda like a bee hive… speaking of honey. i need more kona queen honey SOON!!!

p.s. i am not quite sure why this baby makes me so happy!
seriously. could a real {live} person actually live for crafting…

p.s. i ended up doing 3 of them and placing them on top of my stove! since i should have a FOOD blog {because i LIVE in front of the stove ALSO}…. heheh… but seriously these are good to put recipes you love, want to make, quotes that you will see and anything else that could possibly inspire you!!!

I mean, isn’t that what life is ALL about? INSPIRATION! I have a hard time when I hear someone say they can’t get “inspired”… What does that mean? I believe EVERYONE can tap into their creative side! NO MATTER WHAT!

If you are feeling “uninspired”… then that is a GREAT time to grab some tea and melt into my blog… {{snickering :)}…….OR just go outside and look around you….life is an inspiration..don’t let your brain tell you otherwise.

YOU CAN DO ANYTHING THAT YOU PUT EVERY FIBER OF YOUR BODY INTO!

HOMEMADE DOG TAG

Hi my little Jaderbugs. I had the best weekend ever! How was yours? I can’t lie, it was kinda emotional thinking about 9-11…It still seems surreal to me and I can about imagine how people realllly effected were this weekend. It’s just sad. But yesterday the world prayed together and seeing that all over was totally awesome! I have been working on alot of things JUST FOR YOU and lemme tell you that they are FUNNNN! I have some giveaways that will be happening this week and I will be featuring 10 wonderful blogs!!! I am so super dooper excited!!! I sure hope you are too!!!

Today’s craft was supposed to be THIS however I could not find “shrinky dinks” for the life of me! So I improvised!!! Sorry Martha! Hope your not mad 🙂

p.s. all you will need is a hole puncher, scissors, self laminating pouches, and a key ring.

p.s. i just printed out some plain jane circles ((and I enclosed them at the bottom of the blog for you)) and I wrote my dog’s name and stuff on it.

p.s. after you print them out you want to cut the circles out!

p.s. you want to follow the directions of the laminating pouches before you do this! sometimes these babies can get crazy!

p.s. after you laminate it, you will put a hole anywhere you want on the tag! and i just used an old key ring i had!

p.s. ceaux ceaux is totally spoiled rotten. i swear, i said… ok now sit still so momma can take a picture of you. and she didn’t move. well besides the occasional fluttering of the eyes and slight head movements. i swear she knows what the camera is when i take it out. and people used to think she was just a normal ole dog.

these are the circles I used for this project. you can drag them to your desktop or just save them to it and use them. so fun huh!!!

Dishwashing Liquid Bottles

Hi my little Jaderbugs. It has been a wonderful and hectic week! How is yours going? I have been working on alot of things JUST FOR YOU so stay on the lookout! What is really cool is this was one of Martha’s Top 40 Greatest things!!

I have been asked by many how to make decorative soap dispensers. People I love these little suckers. I have been having them in my house for years and I love making these for house warming gifts! And ironically “martha” did them too on her show! So that means this will be a craft on my 100 days of Martha Countdown!!! They just dress up your sink. If you really want to get crafty, you can get a soap that matches your decor {i mean color of soap} It’s really simple. So simple that your fish could do it. Wait. What if you don’t have a fish? 🙂

p.s. i get these from pier one because i like the flow they give. i have tried the ones from wal mart but they honestly don’t work that great. and they are only like 3 buckaroos.

p.s. when shopping for glass beads remember to get the “small” ones for this craft. the bigs ones will NOT fit.

p.s. i LOVE using VERDI champagne bottles. the shape is wonderful and they are not too big. but remember you can use ANY bottle you would like!

p.s. slowly put the beads in the bottle!

p.s. this is what it should look like. i like to put a decent amount of beads because this helps push the soap out when you tip it over.

p.s i LOVE this soap. {sis, you gotta get some}.

p.s. now you can start pouring your soap into the bottle. you want to go at a slow pace because the soap is thick and can easily overflow.

TISSUE POM POMS Tutorial

Today you will be making…….

TISSUE PAPER POM POMS!!!!

p.s. are you excited!!! oh and i just used the regular sized tissue paper for the big balls! lol
you want to make sure you have atleast 8 sheets on top of each other. i like to do about 12 sheets! makes the balls fluffy

p.s. just remember, these babies don’t have to be “super dooper” strait and perfect. keep in mind we gonna be PULLING them all apart in the end!

p.s. your wire does NOT have to be a “certain” length… just make it long enough to be able to wrap around and have some left to hang with

p.s. just like this.

p.s. you can do round, strait or pointed ends!!!

p.s. be gentle right here… they tend to tear very easy

p.s. it’s starting to come together!!!!

p.s. if you noticed… i used clear tacks to hold them up. it might look like they show in the picture but I pinky promise they don’t look like that in person..
