Homemade Bulletin Board Tutorial

Have you ever pushed your basket through the store {wanting} NEEDING a new bulletin board? I know I have.  The only problem is that most of them are so darn expensive! Today I will show you an easy, weasy, pleasy way to do one.
Ingredients:
~an old frame (minus the glass). Any size frame will work.
~Cork Roll. You can get this at Walmart for a LOW cost!!!
~Hot Glue Gun
~Lace
~Clothespins
Are you ready to get started!!! Go grab your coke and lets GO!!!
Left:  My frame that I will be using.  Remember, you can use any size you want but it HAS to have the wooden back still attached.
Right:  I just removed the wooden back from the frame.  Usually you can do this just by pulling the clamps down, but it depends on the frame
Left:  I just took my roll and on ONE end lined it up with the top of my wooden piece.  Now don’t be alarmed if it’s hanging off of the other end!
Right:  After I decided where I wanted to put my cork, I removed it just enough so I could put a strip of hot glue down. Remember, it will be hot so wear gloves if you feel you might burn yourself.
Above:  This is what your board should look like!  Gently place the cork back down on top of the hot glue!
Above:  After you do the previous step completely around the board, you will flip it upside down.  Carefully take a knife and cut off the excess.

Left:  As you can see I had a little piece on the bottom that was not covered.  So I just cut a little strip and lined it up with my other one then hot glued down.
Right:  I left a little section at the top of my board so I could put a little chalk board paint.  You all know I love my chalk board paint!!! After my paint dried I just hot glued a little lace at the top of the cork to dress it up.

Above:  HERE YOU GO!!! Your very own unique bulletin board.  P.S.  I wanted to put my wooden ruler somewhere besides my floor so I stuck a little piece of Velcro to the back and one on the wall.  Very easy to remove and take off and put back on.  Remember, you can do that with almost anything!
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial!! Let me know what you think! And check out the post about where I put this bulletin board! Click HERE
