I think my favorite thing about CHRISTMAS is making crafts with my little one. We are super close and I want all of the little memories to stick. Like making a tree ornament. I had so much fun making this ornament and it is so pretty on my tree! I will always remember the itty bitty fingers that made this…
If you have colorful buttons laying around go get them and put them new use as Christmas ornaments. If you don’t have enough loose buttons, or the right colors, don’t worry — stores sell them by the bagful. Kids will enjoy this project because each wreath they make will be unique.
Tools and Materials
Needle-nose pliers or wire cutters
16-gauge copper wire, or 22-gauge green floral wire, cut to 9-inch lengths
72 buttons for each wreath
Scissors
Satin ribbon, 1/8 inch wide and 6 inches long
Seam binding for decorative bow
I just used some cheap little wire cutters for this project because the wire I am using is not hard to cut at all!
See! It’s just floral wire that you can get at walmart
Cut a piece of wire {as big as you want} and put a loop on the end
Next you want to grab a handful of buttons {yes.. I know I have a bandage clip in there} lol
You can make the colors go in a certain order or do it like me… Whichever button you pick out of the bunch is the one that is next! I told ya, I don’t discriminate! lol
I know you are flipping out right now! You are like, OMG I love this button ma jiggy! Just think. You can make your babies do this every year and it would be such a great memory! I hope you enjoyed this craft and have fun making it!
