Chicken and Corn Chili

OMG! I know I usually don’t post “recipes” on here but sometimes I make something and I just have to share it with you!!!! This is SO good, lemme just tell you.  I kinda felt like Julia Child cooking yesterday.  {even though Julia’s recipe would of been more like plucking the chicken then cutting the head off} but you get the feeling I had. RIGHT!!!! So here are the things you will need to make “mouths” water.
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 large onion, chopped up
1 large bell pepper, cleaned and chopped up
1 teaspoon ground cumin {i love this stuff}
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1 can (14.5 ounces) low-sodium chicken broth
1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes {don’t drain)
1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cleaned and cut into bite sized pieces
1 bag {big} of frozen corn
2 can’s of beans {whatever kind you like}
Salt, about 3/4 teaspoons
Shredded Chedder Cheese
Ok: ready for the directions!!! {put your apron on and get ta cooking}
1. Heat oil in large pot over medium heat. Add onion and green pepper. Cook, stirring, 5 minutes. Stir in cumin, coriander and chili powder; cook 1 minute.

2. Stir in chicken broth and tomatoes. Bring to a simmer. Add chicken. Cover and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.
3. Stir corn, beans and salt into pot. Heat through. Spoon into bowls and top with shredded cheese.
p.s. this is the BEST olive oil {mother n law has stock in it)
p.s. here are the ingredients!!!
p.s. and this is it.  you know it looks good.  oh i just added some fresh rosemary to give it flavor!!!
I hope my jaderbugs enjoyed this! Stay tuned later for the craft of the day!

Decorate with Eggs

Howdy my little JaderBugs~!! How are ya! Sorry I been kinda out lately but I had surgery this week and didn’t really have time to blog much.  But I am back and running!!!
OMG, while I was on my “meds” I started thinking about a craft to do with eggs.  I didn’t want to do the typical egg craft that I see all over so here goes MY EGG CRAFT!!! I think it’s absolutely precious because it’s very crisp and clean looking but has the spunk that I adore.  I used my favorite markers of ALL time, my BIC markers.  Check out my post I put up a while back when BIC sponsored me for a craft party!   So exciting I tell ya~
Also, if you have not seen my {bloopers} video from last week check it out, it’s super funny!!!
These are the colors that I chose but you can use the ones that tinkle your heart:
Plumtastic Purple
Hot Aqua
Sunset Orange
Polynesian Purple
Tranquil Teal
Stone Gray
Tiki Hut Tan
Pink Flamingo
Key Lime
√ Tuxedo Black
Yellow Blaze
Peach Parfait
Fandango Pink
INGREDIENTS:
p.s. you can also use fishing wire or any other string you can think of, i just love the look of twine.  don’t forget to get personal, splatter on all kindsa different sequins on them!!!
p.s.  this process is fairly simple.  after your first 2 eggs you will figure out what way works best for ya!
p.s.  seriously, how cute is this! makes me think of my polka dot bak-ini, fa reel
p.s. do you want to eat these are is it just me?
p.s. btw, you don’t have to use black to outline your polka dots.  i just happen to love the color black around things all pretty n stuff 🙂
p.s. ok, on the left if you look good enough, you can see the FIRST sequin i put up.  but to the right you will see an egg starting to become engulfed in them. did you know i love all things glittery and shiny!!! like ADDicted!!!
p.s. play around with this part.  you do’t have to put them in any certain order or anything.  it’s your time to be creative!
p.s.  you can hang these anywhere and your house will be sparkly and happy
p.s. see!!! i told ya! BTW I was supposed to post this but never got around to it.  i spruced up some things in ma crib and painted them all summery {{is that a word?}} lol
ps.  another mirror.  see i toldya if you just get a cool can of spray paint you can change the look of a room for less than 5 dollors~
Love ya. Mean it.

Homemade Christmas Ornaments

I just thought I would start off by saying how sorry I am for making you wait so long for this DIY craft! I have been so busy lately, but that is NO excuse!!! I know that you wait by your computer every day for my next blog~~~ 🙂 And at 11:00 p.m. tonight I am prying my eyes open with Doritos just for YOU~~~
This craft is really easy and really fun. You can give these as gifts or you can make them for yourself (not at all saying that would make you selfish, to keep them ALL to yourself because they are that cute). You could give them to others for Christmas each year and start a nice little tradition ( or you can keep them ALL to yourself 🙂
INGREDIENTS:
~Spray Adhesive
~Glitter
~ Styrofoam Balls
~ Sequins
~Hooks (to hang them with)
~Strait Pins
~thanks P for being my hand model

First thing you will do is arrange your sequins on the strait pin according to your taste. I decided to use red, green and gold!
I figured I would do the original Christmas colors, or at-least what makes me feel all warm and cozy inside~

After you attach your sequins, you will gently stick it into the styrofoam ball.
Remember, you do NOT have to stick them into the ball in a certain order, unless you want to.
When the ball is finished you will get out your hooks and stick it where you want. You might have to remove ONE sequined pin to give the hook it’s own special home!

See BELOW…I wish I had an arrow to put here…
You can either screw it in or just push it in, either way works. You just want to remember to be gentle because if you put it in the ball and you take it out to redo it, it will not stay. So I guess what I am saying is you have ONE and only ONE try with this.. or your gonna melt when you go into the sun….:)

See just how beautiful these little balls of fire are!!! I personally would LOVE to get some like this for Christmas! Wouldn’t you?!?!?!?!
(Maybe I will keep just this one)

You can also add other things that interest you. I LOVE gold!! I think it has never gone out of style and while others HATE it, I sport it~~~

As you can see below, I used some gold tacks to put the letter “j” in my ball.

I wanted to add this one in here to show you that you can also use JUST glitter if you want.
First thing you will do is spray the entire ball with spray adhesive.

Then just sprinkle whatever color glitter you like. I used baby blue and brown. When I was done I added a little splash by sticking pins with a yellow tip in it.
So are you already in your car going get your ingredients!!! I can’t wait to see what you create:)

I must say this was a remarkable Halloween! It was Ceaux Ceaux’s first one and she rocked it!!! She walked up and down the streets like she owned them and she rocked her glittered/feathered t shirt!! I even decorated my eyes to resemble hers!!! I look forward to many more great memories with this wonderful dog!!!
