Last night I broke out the Christmas decorations! I swear this year I started so late. What? You don’t put up your Christmas decorations the day after Halloween? Me either lol! BUT…I usually put them up like 2 weeks before Thanksgiving. It’s funny because I used to be on the dot with “traditions”. I grew up putting up the tree the day after Thanksgiving. I think people start Christmas so early that they tend to forget about giving “thanks”. I don’t though. I am just decorating early for a HUGE birthday party! I love love love Christmas. Maybe it’s the vision I have in my head from all the {{Chiristmas}}movies I watched when I was little. Although, I must say I think I am living up to my visions 100%. I do want to say one thing that bothers me. I really don’t like how Christmas has become all about the money. I believe “retail” stores forget about the meaning and only think about how much more they can make this year. OH! I also don’t like when people write “X-mas”… Really? Is it that hard to write CHRISTMAS? What does the X stand for anyways? X marks the spot? Maybe I missed that but Christ is why we are celebrating! We need to remember that. Life maybe not be all that you thought it would be but with Christ, your life will be awesome with what was given to you.
Did you know that I heard black friday is called that because that is the day they get out of the RED! LOL….. Cuh-razy…. I guess it’s the day WE GO IN THE RED…
The craft I am doing today is super dooper fun and it’s so crazy because I did it last night without knowing that it was even a Martha craft! So I said “guh you betta use this”… and I did.
I just had these babies laying around and when I saw them I thought they were be perfect to put balls in! It’s super easy! All you have to do is turn the jar upside down and fill it with whatever ornaments you have. Yep! That simple!
Have fun putting all of your CHRISTMAS ornaments up!!!
Sending you a big ole house full of love, your one and only JADERBOMB

I wanted to comment on “X”-mas.
I was at choir practice many, many years ago; and commented on that very thing driving my crazy. I couldn’t fathom Christ being taken out of Christmas. One of the choir members had gone to seminary, and is an expert in the Bible. Millie told us that X in Greek (or Latin?) was the symbol for God (Christ, diety). She said that it was not at all un-Christian to use the X. Ok then, now I understand that X might not be the insult I thought it was, but I personally still don’t feel comfortable taking Christ out of Christmas. That’s just my opinion!
