Martha Stewart Countdown #43 Magazine Christmas Trees

Ok! Lemme tell you how much you will go to the ends of the earth to find EVERY magazine available to you! I thought this craft would {{totally}} be very boring and not that much fun to do. It’s not that I EVER really think a craft is boring it’s just sometimes when you have too much repetition it gets um… BORING…I know I don’t make ANY sense at all right now but it’s almost 1 am and I am just catching up on my blog…(story of my life)

Like David Frost once said, But don’t aim for success if you want it; do what you love and believe in, and it will come naturally.

Let’s get to crafting before I fall asleep AGAIN on my computer! (imagine that)

Tools and Materials
Old magazines of any size
Spray Adhesive
Glitter in desired colors
Bone folder (optional)

Grab any magazine you want. If you use a big magazine it will make a big tree. I like doing a little bit of both! Open a magazine and bend to break the spine

Fold individual page from top right corner to inside seam. I know, this is not the top right corner but I just took the wrong picture

This is what it should look like when you are done with the whole book

Fold same page from bottom right edge to gutter

You will have a little “nub” on the bottom

You will need to tuck it in and make the bottom flat

This is what it should look like after you are done with that step

Spray adhesive spry all over the tree

Sprinkle with glitter of your choice! Glitter is available on shop.marthastewart.com.

Seriously. Is this not AMAZING! I know I am COMPULSIVE but gosh darn nit…I want to make a huge amount of these! Just think about it, you could give them as a present for Christmas. I know I would LOVE if someone gave me this. Enjoy Jaderbugs Sending you trees to put on top of your trees, your jaderbomb

Martha Stewart Countdown #42 Button Wreath Ornament

I think my favorite thing about CHRISTMAS is making crafts with my little one. We are super close and I want all of the little memories to stick. Like making a tree ornament. I had so much fun making this ornament and it is so pretty on my tree! I will always remember the itty bitty fingers that made this…

If you have colorful buttons laying around go get them and put them new use as Christmas ornaments. If you don’t have enough loose buttons, or the right colors, don’t worry — stores sell them by the bagful. Kids will enjoy this project because each wreath they make will be unique.

Tools and Materials

Needle-nose pliers or wire cutters
16-gauge copper wire, or 22-gauge green floral wire, cut to 9-inch lengths
72 buttons for each wreath
Scissors
Satin ribbon, 1/8 inch wide and 6 inches long
Seam binding for decorative bow

I just used some cheap little wire cutters for this project because the wire I am using is not hard to cut at all!

See! It’s just floral wire that you can get at walmart

Cut a piece of wire {as big as you want} and put a loop on the end

Next you want to grab a handful of buttons {yes.. I know I have a bandage clip in there} lol

Start stringing those babies

You can make the colors go in a certain order or do it like me… Whichever button you pick out of the bunch is the one that is next! I told ya, I don’t discriminate! lol

I know you are flipping out right now! You are like, OMG I love this button ma jiggy! Just think. You can make your babies do this every year and it would be such a great memory! I hope you enjoyed this craft and have fun making it!

Buttons and Butts, your jaderbomb

Martha Stewart Countdown #41 Cork Stamp How-To

Happy BLACK FRIDAY! I hope everyone had a great day yesterday {{we had a blast just ate WAY too much}}… I am very thankful for everything in my life! Life is not about what you DON’T have but what you DO have. Sometimes that can be hard to remember but we always should.! This craft so much fun because if you like making your own cards this will be so much fun for you. You can make your OWN Christmas cards and decorate them however you would like! The best part is your making the designs with CORKS!

So we went “shopping” last night but really didn’t buy anything. We totally went for the fun of it. It was AMAZING! We went to Starbucks and got out coffee then set out to the crazy spots. It was so much fun seeing everyone FREAK out over things that really are not much to FREAK out over. They had a fight and we heard someone even got CUT! WHAT?!?!? Did anyone get hurt trying to get a blue ray or a computer… lol? Share your stories! Everyone loves to hear them! OK let’s get started. I am posting about 10 crafts today because I need to catch up! HELLER… My deadline is like around the corner. So get ready to get “crafted” out today.

Tools and Materials:

Grab some corks

Get your tear drop ink pad

Get some blank cards

Lightly press into the ink pad with the cork of your choice

I decided to do a pea first

See.. HOW CUTE!!!

Fine…Since I love ORANGES we will do one too!

OH! I LOVE GRAPES TOO! See I told ya this was fun!

I decided to use the actual tear drop ink pad to make a design. Just to play around.

I actually LOVED doing this. It reminded me those spin art machines I used to play with when I was a kid! It’s hard to tell but in person you can really see all the different layers. I hope you have fun with craft and BE CREATIVE. After all, that is what life is all about!

P.S. Don’t forget to use fine-tip markers to draw details around the stamped circles: leaves on a radish, a stem on an orange, a pod for peas, and so on.

Hungry for pods full of peas now, your Jaderbomb

Martha Stewart Countdown #40 Stenciled Napkins and Table Runner

Howdy Hoo Jaderbugs!!! It’s THANKSGIVING EVE babyyyy!!!! I sure made that sound very fun! BUT the fact is I am sitting down in my cozy living room, watching Dr. Phil {{btw did you see it today? SOOO SAD}} and blogging. OH EMMM GEEE I checked out my DVR list of recorded shows and my right eyebrow went strait up to la la land!

(( ok so it is THANKSGIVING day now because I fell asleep typing last night))

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!! I love all of YOU!!!

What is everyone cooking for Thanksgiving? I can’t wait to eat all day long! But don’t worry! I am sure I will squeeze in some sorta “crafting” at some point.

Let’s get to crafting!

Grab a table linen

I think all the other stencils I have are great… BUT these babies…Take first spot!

Inside the pack there are 2 different sheets. I used this one. For some reason I can’t find the think to these specific stencils right now but I will put it when I find it!!! BUT! You can find them at Michaels!

You always want to use a fabric medium if you are stenciling on fabric! This will make it last a lot longer…

I absolutely love this stencil adhesive. Lemme just tell you I never ever used this stuff before they sent it to me! WHAT WAS I THINKING! NO WONDER MY STENCILS ALWAYS LEAKED LIKE CRAZY! I remember pulling up the stencil after I would use it and I had NO crisp lines! PHEW! You will is you use this stuff!

I used a SATIN paint!

In SURF!!!!

Look how pretty this color is!!!

After you spray your stencil with a light coat of adhesive spray this is what it should look like!

Then place your stencil where you want it. Grab your pouncer and start POUNCING!!!

You want to make sure you apply enough paint to coat every spot!

I am in <3…..

Seriously! I could NOT have bought a better table runner. I am now stenciling EVERYTHING in my house. Watch out everyone. Mighty Tight-ee White-ee’s may be NEXT!

Martha Stewart Countdown #39 Monogrammed Hand Towel

Good MERNIN Jaderbbugs! Can you believe I am up this early! I feel asleep last night with my computer on my lap. Yeah! I wanted to do 2 more craft tutorials last night but it wasn’t happening. The UNIVERSE took over my body and brought it to dream land! So I ran across this craft a while back and thought how cool would that be to give as a gift. You know how it is, you have to give someone something but you don’t know what. Well, everyone LOVES embroidery so why not do it in your own home! It’s not REAL thread we are using but just Martha Stewart’s awesome paint! It’s a quick way to personalize a gift. Heck, I made a gift for myself last night! What cha think about that!

I have a BUNCH of linen napkins. They really come in handy when I need to quickly make something! Especially like this…

I was so happy when I got this in the mail because me and stencils are like oil and water.. Jaderbugs! This spray works like magic. It sticks SOOO good and does NOT move at all when your pouncing!  Get some HERE

These stencils are NOT like the decorative ones. Just letting you know. These are made out of paper so you really have to be careful not to tear them. I used the top left letters for this craft! Wanna get some stencils? Click HERE

I used stencil brushes because if you DON’T then you could possibly mess up everything! These brushes pounce down in just the “right” places! Get some HERE

I used Martha Stewart’s Satin paint

In Habanero!

I love love love this! It is so elegant and has a clean and crisp feel to it!

Sending you so much linen you can make a nightgown of your own, your jaderbomb!

Martha Stewart Countdown #38 Cornhusk Wreath

i feel it in my bones. -tegan and sara

It’s after midnight. I’m tired. I sometimes wonder if anyone realizes how hard it is “some” days to get crafts done. I have been blogging for a couple of years now and phew! I don’t think I EVER stayed up so late just trying to get a craft done! I’m sorry it’s so late but I told y’all I would get this craft up for ya! I hope you like it because it was so fun. OH… Did I mention I’m tired.

Thank you angels for providing me with Tegan and Sara, coke, Christmas tree cakes, and lot’s of good energy.  {{and Martha in my head pointing her finger at me}}… Teehee…Amelia, I miss you…

I used RIT dye. It never disappoints me! You can use whatever name brand you like for this craft. It really will not matter that much.

I just grabbed these babies at my local grocery store! You might have to ask because sometimes they are not easy to find!

You want to fill up a bowl with warm water. Put the dye in the water as the instructions say. I like to use powder because I feel like I have a little more control over it!

Put as much as you want in the bowl then put a plate on top. This holds everything down. The longer you keep everything submerged into the water the darker the corn husks’ will be.

Get a wreath made of straw. This baby was only 4 bucks! Can ya believe!

You will NEED floral pins!

Look how pretty these babies are! When you are ready to use them just take them out of the water and pat them dry. It’s SO easy to pull them into strips! It’s like MAGIC!

Join each of the ends together.

Secure down with a floral pin.

Look how pretty! It reminds me of the candy ribbons my Grandpaw used to give me when I was a little girl… Love you PP….

I am so happy with the way this turned out! It turned out SO awesome! I can’t wait to make a CHRISTMAS one! Have fun making this jaderbugs!

Sending you loads and loads of sleep that I want, your tired jaderbomb
