{seriously} These are so flippin cute!

Happy 2’s day Jaderbugs! I hope everyone is having a day full of love and laughter! If I haven’t told you lately, I am so glad you come visit me everyday. It really makes me so very happy, and if this is your first time visiting my “online home” WELCOME! If you know me then you know I have a very large stock in bottle caps and corks. Such an odd combo but yet they are two things that come in SO handy all of the time.

The other day I needed extra magnets on the fridge and there was no way I was going to go buy some! {go figure}

If you walked in my studio you would fuss at me if I ever bought ANYTHING!

INGREDIENTS:
{click the links below to order}

 Bottle Caps
(you can order the here or use ones that you have collected)
Seqins (get these from any craft store)
Mod Podge Dimensional Magic
Magnetic Buttons

First thing you will do is lay your bottle caps down flat. Fill them with sequins and slowly squeeze in your Mod Podge.

FYI:
Don’t shake the bottle of Mod Podge Dimensional Magic. When you shake it, it causes bubbles and the last thing you want is bubbles. Once you are done check on them for about the first 15 min to pop any bubbles that float to the top. I use a needle to pop my bubbles.

Once they are completely dry you will take a round magnet, peel of the sticky back and stick it on the bottle cap.

 Tadahhhh! Oh, and you can get these magnets at Wal-Mart also!

 Are they so cute! Just think you can put any color sequins in them or any color glitter. They are the perfect gift also!

 I hope you all enjoyed this fun tutorial… See ya in the next post!

PERSONALIZE YOUR PENS

Happy Tuesday Jaderbugs!!!! You know what happens tonight right?!?!?

CRAFT WARS!!! (click on link)

If you have not seen it yet, you “must” make it priority! It’s great to finally see a craft show on television!

MORE CRAFT, LESS PAWN…haha

One of my fellow blogger’s WHIPPY CAKE posted a fun picture of her pens she “personalized” the other day on instagram. I just knew I had to do a TUTORIAL on it for all of my Jaderbugs! Check out her  Etsy shop!  She sells out of things really quick!!! So hurry and check her out!

  I thought this was a great idea and wanted to show you how to make it. It’s really not that hard but people like me LOVE “STEP BY STEP” tutorials! I know some of you will be going to BlogHer soon and this would be PERFECT for that!

 How cute is this! It’s like they are saying “Hey I am cold in here, grab me a scarf”

You will only need a few ingredients for this project. {insert a big ole YAYYYY}

Let’s get started.

INGREDIENTS:

I used washi tape for this. You can buy it online here  or sometimes they will have decorative tape at your local craft stores! I promise this stuff can become addicting! I purchased the one I am using from Michaels Craft store.

First thing you will do is cut a piece of tape and wrap it around pen. Make sure you stick both ends together evenly.

 After you do that, get out your scissors and cut a letter V in it.

Tadaahhhh! It’s that simple. In no time you can personalize all of your pens. Shoot’s, if you live a in a house like I live in pens go missing really quick! The key is putting pretty, pretty tape on them. Well, we will see because that might actually be a hit!

or NOT!

I hope you are all having a great morning and see ya tomorrow for another fun new craft! Giveaway coming soon so stay tuned!!!!

Sending you loads of love and washi tape hugs,

“Mirror Mirror on the Wall, Who Is the Fairest of Them All?”

Hey Jaderbugs! I could not wait to post this craft! I have NOT seen the new movie yet but I absolutely know all about the “original” one! If you wanna check out the website for this AMAZING movie that I can’t wait to see, click HERE. Did I mention that Florence sings in the movie. YEP. The video is on the website and it’s a MUST see!

Let’s start crafting!

How perfect is this! You can see so many different reflections in all of the itty bitty mirrors every time you look at them. It’s like a party in your eyeballs! I have to say I have been using using “mirror’s” for a long time and if you follow me then you know this! There is just a part of me that get’s weak when it comes to:
lamps
christmas lights
mirrors
&
gel pens (preferably Pilot G-2)

It’s kind of fun to pretend your making a “prop” for a big ole movie when your really not. Your just making it for YOUR movie, the movie of your life. (hahaha)

Ingredients:

You will also need a old chandelier and spray paint.

We bought this at a garage sell prolly 2 years ago. It’s been sitting in our shed just screaming to get redone!

We used a pretty purple color for our best friend Taunt C. She just passed away and that was her favorite color. Plus every time we look at it, it will remind us of her!

I bought those little packs of mirrors at Michael’s Art’s and Crafts. They are pretty cheap, maybe 1.50 for a pack but you get about 15 mirrors in the pack. You can get tons of different size circles and squares. Keep in mind every chandelier will look different than the one I am using.I thought putting some on the bottom base would add a nice touch to it! I used E-6000.  You can use it on
Glass / Rhinestone
Clay Pottery / Rocks / Sea Shells
Beads / Fabric
Ceramic / Wood
Glass / Metal

It’s really something you should ALWAYS keep around.

 Remember my tutorial on “strings of mirror’s“? If not check it out. I made these babies the same way  I made those. You just put glue on one circle, put clear string over it and place another circle on top of that. Then let it dry. You can decide how many circles or squares you want to use depending on the size of your chandelier.

Once you get all of your little strings of mirrors done, just start putting them all over! You can hang them at different lengths. I like to stay “consistent” so it looks even.

I hope you enjoy this fun tutorial and leave in the comment section what you think of the movie if you saw it! Could you totally see this in your house! I put it outside because when the sun hits the mirror’s, it makes millions of amazing, fun reflections EVERYWHERE! It’s like stars in the daytime shining!

I wanted to share with you my exact spot I wrote this blog post! Right under my
Mirror Chandelier!

Wanna see how I hung this HUGE window? Make sure and come back tomorrow to check it out! See you in the next post!

Mirror Mirror on the WALL…..STRINGS OF MIRROR’S for your garden tutorial

Mirror Mirror on the Wall who’s the best blogger of them ALL…. {{{teeheheheh}}}

I just had to, I mean it was calling my name don’t cha think! I remember when I was a little girl singing that song standing on my little stool in the bathroom. I never had ANYONE talk back to me in the mirror except myself! (imagine that)

Maybe the mirror we are crafting with today will deliver the message! {{{fingers crossed people}}}

So, one day I was driving down the road and saw tons of reflections all over the ground!!! I was like…EYYYY get out of my EYEBALLS!!!!  I mean, I wasn’t sure If I wanted them gone because they were hurting my eyeballs or because I loved them so much! Who cares, I just knew I loved how pretty it looked!

Then I got a sneak peek at what was making all of this “wonderful-ness” happen. It was strings of “mirror’s” hanging from a tree. Right! I am totally cool with looking at myself in a mirror while pulling weeds. JS.
Let me remind you that the day this happened was about……10 years ago. Since then I have been making STRINGS OF MIRROR’S. Everyone that comes to our house LOVES them and wants me to make 25 billion of them for their house!! (hahaha)

I have them EVERYWHERE! It is the prettiest thing ever and I am sure you will love them also! It’s hard to get a good picture of them because they are always moving around (so sorry in advance). Let’s get started!

Each pack of these babies cost around $1.00. There’s 25 in each pack and that is PLENTY to make one string. I picked these up at Michael’s Art’s and Crafts.  {Be careful because sometimes there’s little shards of glass at the bottom of the bag, so maybe wear gloves to protect your hands}

I used some random string I found in my studio. I am not sure the name brand but it is very thin and brown. I think I bought it from Wal-Mart in a pack of four colors. I think. What REALLY works the best is fishing string but I could not find any. However ANY string will work.

The first thing you will do is get your hot glue gun add a dab of glue to one mini mirror. Put the string in the middle of the glue then hurry and place another piece of mirror right on top. This will secure the mirror. You now have the first one done and the goal is to do the same thing down the string till you are out of little mirror’s.
OH, I used my Martha Stewart crafts glue gun and sticks. This really is the best glue gun ever!

It’s coming together!!!! I mean you can “mirror mirror” all day long with these babies!

I tied the string around a key ring on one end and this makes it easy to hang with. You can totally use anything else but this is very secure! Or you can do like I did yesterday and HOT GLUE my string to the TREE because I ran out of key rings. YES, I HOT GLUED IT TO MY TREE.
((who does that?)

This is my little square pieces. It is much longer than this but it’s hard to tell in the picture. I tried to take a picture where you can see the whole thing but it made it hard to focus on the mirror’s.

How pretty is this! It’s like a party in your eyes when you see them. Early in the morning when the sun is coming up there are a billion reflections all over my yard shining on my beautiful flowers and all over my house. I can’t even explain how pretty it is. Just wait till you see them going nuts when the sun is going down. It’s redonk-u-lous. I swear!

So if you know me then you know “sometimes” I forget to water my plants. I usually remember when I look at them and they are dead! (((hahahaha))). I swore this summer I would nurse my plants. So far it’s working. Here is some plant I have hanging outside. See I am doing a good job! Turns out I have a green thumb… so far.

Check out my CILANTRO! It’s so pretty and FULL. I can’t wait to make homemade enchiladas with them!! ( recipe to c0me)

This  here is my ONE strawberry. I am sure someone out there will say “hey….this girl stinks at gardening with all her weeds in her strawberries”… You are right. They prolly don’t belong in there with the beautiful strawberries but don’t you remember me saying I usually kill things. These weeds do NOT bother me. Ya know, if I pull them they will prolly die. That is not gonna happen.

Well Jaderbugs, I hope you had fun coming to my house for a little while! Just close your eyes and picture TONS of mirror reflections hanging all over, fresh cilantro in the air, pretty red strawberries in a pot full of weeds, enigma playing, nagchampa flowing through the air and me serving you a glass of sweet tea. Yeah, I think I will close my eyes and pretend I am there with you.

See you later on!!

RE-CREATE ZAK!

HEY YALL!! I am so excited to show you this craft!
Yes Yes Yes… You will fall in LOVE. First of all let me tell you that I really am fascinated by  ZAK! Have you ever heard of them? Well, they have this AMAZING “confetti” collection that makes me smile from ear to ear.

I started thinking of ways I could “re-create” something similar to the plastic “confetti”.

Let’s begin by getting some ingredients:

I bought this pack at Michaels for around 12 bucks.

You will start by getting a heat “safe” plate and pour your beads onto the plate. Push all of them down so they all lay even. It does not matter if some are flat and some are faced up. Set your oven to 400 degrees and let it pre heat while you make your design.

If you notice it will start to melt in the center first. Leave it in the oven for 10 minutes.

When you take it out this is what it will look like! So pretty right!!!!

Let it sit until it cools off. Once it is cool it will pop right out.

There are a ton of things you can use these for! I have them all over the house. I like one in my bathroom to put my little earrings in so I don’t loose them. Use them for a Candle holder, fruit bowl, soap dish, bottom of a pot plant, on the wall as decorative plates ((hehehe if they fall they won’t break!!!))), you get it right!!! You can use it for SOOO MUCH JADERBUGS!

I kinda went CRAZY making these suckers. What can I say, I get crazy with bright fun things! It’s truly addicting!! I will be putting some for sale in my Etsy store . Sometimes it’s easier to just “BUY” them. Right! So stay tuned for that!

I just love this little bowl. My mind is going CUH-RAZY thinking of all the things to put in here.

I hope you RUN to Michael’s and grab some beads! You can make this for a Christmas gift, Easter gift, Birthday or just a FUN GET TOGETHER! It is truly affordable and kid’s would love to make them.

FYI: Sorry Jackson that you are previewing your Birthday gift.

 Perler Bead fact: Perler Beads would like to reassure you that their beads are safely made using LDPE, a food-grade plastic. There are no harmful chemicals in the beads, as may have been found in similar products. The beads are manufactured in California of materials obtained entirely in the United States and are routinely tested to meet all required safety standards.

Hey y’all!! Happy GOOD FRIDAY!!!
I am not quite sure how I am actually typing right now because I ate SO much crawfish today my fingers are FULL….I could just feel my stomach expanding as I slowly swallowed each and every yummy crawfish!

It’s almost Easter time and you know my motto “it’s never too late to get it done”… If you want to spice up some plastic eggs for your Easter table then get this craft done ASAP! Just don’t accidentally EAT one!!! ((haha))

You want to start by getting some PERFECT PLASTIC  eggs. I think these babies are around 2 dollors a bag!

I used four main ingredients for this project.
1.Mod Podge  (I get this from Michael’s Arts and Crafts) I brush the Mod Podge on the egg then sprinkle glitter so it dries on there!
2. Martha Stewart Glitter  (Just incase you have NEVER used this glitter now is the time! You will fall in love)
3.  Martha Stewart glitter glue set
4.  Martha Stewart brushes

These nuggets are amazing!

 I tell ya, these look so good I just want to take a bite out of one!

I hope everyone is STILL enjoying this wonderful FRIDAY night! Enjoy your “EASTER” weekend and come back tomorrow for MORE EASTER fun!
