Martha Stewart Countdown #45 Card Garland

You all know I love garlands! I am still trying to figure out why I love them so much. It might be the fact that they dress up a room in NO time at all! Yeah I think that’s it. Maybe it’s because they are fun to do! Yeah that too! {{teehee}}…

This weekend flew by I tell ya! But I couldn’t help myself with this cute garland. I know everyone is starting to decorate for Christmas and I know someone out there will love this! Keep your mind open with this craft. You can use the same color or the same family of colors. You can make a garland for your Christmas tree or just hang it on something to add some flava flave to your space! Either way this will be a winner in your home and you can say YOU MADE IT!

Use craft punches (or trace a round object and cut out). Attach to heavy thread with stickers; rub with craft stick to secure.  If you really don’t want to do this craft from start to finish you could cheat a little and buy the dot’s!

How pretty is this garland!

So pretty! Remember my stained glass curtain tutorial? I hope you enjoyed this craft and can’t wait to see your pictures! Just email them to me!!

Going cook chicken and stare at my garland, jaderbomb

Martha Stewart Countdown #44 Suede Doggie Coat

OH my LAWD! I finally saw breaking dawn today and lemme tell you it was SOOOOO good! I almost freaked out at the end when Bella’s eyes just popped open. I just am not sure how long I can handle waiting for the next part. Why do they do that? I mean the Titanic was like 3 hours long! Don’t get me wrong the Titanic was “it” back in the day! But in THIS day, we want to see blood sucking hot people! {{at-least I do}}

Guess I will have to wait another year for part 2…

Let’s start crafting! This crafteroo was so funny because I kept trying it on Ceaux Ceaux to make sure it was right! She HATED it. Every time I went near her she would try and grab it out of my hand and take off with it. Did I mention she is the fastest dog in the world? Check out her blog HERE and her you tube video HERE!!! I’m telling this baby girl is FUNNY!

Tools and Materials

1/3 yard of fabric (for a 20-pound dog)
Scissors
Erasable fabric marker
Four buttons
Needle and thread

I used some felt because it’s very affordable and you can choose from LOTS of colors! I just used two sheets of felt and sewed them together because Co is long!

After you sew the felt together it’s time to cut your strips that go around the neck and across the bottom!

This is what your strip should look like after you cut it. Drape over dog.  Mark where buttons will hold the straps, across the lower neck and behind the front legs.

I used some old vintage buttons that I had. Sew buttons onto main piece; cut slits in straps. (As dog grows, make longer straps.)

Ceaux Ceaux was so distracted. I wonder if dog’s can be ADD! This thing on her is SOO funny!

She was SO awkward and didn’t know how to move! She just stood there and moved her eyeballs!!! To think there were people out there that didn’t love this dog like she needed to be loved is unreal to me! She’s just amazing!

Seriously. How could you not love this face! I swear she did NOT move until I took it off! I hope this craft is fun and easy for you!

Sending you a strong finger to take tons and tons of pictures of pets, jaderbomb

Martha Stewart Countdown #43 Magazine Christmas Trees

Ok! Lemme tell you how much you will go to the ends of the earth to find EVERY magazine available to you! I thought this craft would {{totally}} be very boring and not that much fun to do. It’s not that I EVER really think a craft is boring it’s just sometimes when you have too much repetition it gets um… BORING…I know I don’t make ANY sense at all right now but it’s almost 1 am and I am just catching up on my blog…(story of my life)

Like David Frost once said, But don’t aim for success if you want it; do what you love and believe in, and it will come naturally.

Let’s get to crafting before I fall asleep AGAIN on my computer! (imagine that)

Tools and Materials
Old magazines of any size
Spray Adhesive
Glitter in desired colors
Bone folder (optional)

Grab any magazine you want. If you use a big magazine it will make a big tree. I like doing a little bit of both! Open a magazine and bend to break the spine

Fold individual page from top right corner to inside seam. I know, this is not the top right corner but I just took the wrong picture

This is what it should look like when you are done with the whole book

Fold same page from bottom right edge to gutter

You will have a little “nub” on the bottom

You will need to tuck it in and make the bottom flat

This is what it should look like after you are done with that step

Spray adhesive spry all over the tree

Sprinkle with glitter of your choice! Glitter is available on shop.marthastewart.com.

Seriously. Is this not AMAZING! I know I am COMPULSIVE but gosh darn nit…I want to make a huge amount of these! Just think about it, you could give them as a present for Christmas. I know I would LOVE if someone gave me this. Enjoy Jaderbugs Sending you trees to put on top of your trees, your jaderbomb

Martha Stewart Countdown #42 Button Wreath Ornament

I think my favorite thing about CHRISTMAS is making crafts with my little one. We are super close and I want all of the little memories to stick. Like making a tree ornament. I had so much fun making this ornament and it is so pretty on my tree! I will always remember the itty bitty fingers that made this…

If you have colorful buttons laying around go get them and put them new use as Christmas ornaments. If you don’t have enough loose buttons, or the right colors, don’t worry — stores sell them by the bagful. Kids will enjoy this project because each wreath they make will be unique.

Tools and Materials

Needle-nose pliers or wire cutters
16-gauge copper wire, or 22-gauge green floral wire, cut to 9-inch lengths
72 buttons for each wreath
Scissors
Satin ribbon, 1/8 inch wide and 6 inches long
Seam binding for decorative bow

I just used some cheap little wire cutters for this project because the wire I am using is not hard to cut at all!

See! It’s just floral wire that you can get at walmart

Cut a piece of wire {as big as you want} and put a loop on the end

Next you want to grab a handful of buttons {yes.. I know I have a bandage clip in there} lol

Start stringing those babies

You can make the colors go in a certain order or do it like me… Whichever button you pick out of the bunch is the one that is next! I told ya, I don’t discriminate! lol

I know you are flipping out right now! You are like, OMG I love this button ma jiggy! Just think. You can make your babies do this every year and it would be such a great memory! I hope you enjoyed this craft and have fun making it!

Martha Stewart Countdown #37 Christmas Cloche

Last night I broke out the Christmas decorations! I swear this year I started so late. What? You don’t put up your Christmas decorations the day after Halloween?  Me either lol!  BUT…I usually put them up like 2 weeks before Thanksgiving. It’s funny because I used to be on the dot with “traditions”. I grew up putting up the tree the day after Thanksgiving. I think people start Christmas so early that they tend to forget about giving “thanks”. I don’t though. I am just decorating early for a HUGE birthday party! I love love love Christmas. Maybe it’s the vision I have in my head from all the {{Chiristmas}}movies I watched when I was little. Although, I must say I think I am living up to my visions 100%. I do want to say one thing that bothers me. I really don’t like how Christmas has become all about the money. I believe “retail” stores forget about the meaning and only think about how much more they can make this year. OH! I also don’t like when people write “X-mas”… Really? Is it that hard to write CHRISTMAS? What does the X stand for anyways? X marks the spot? Maybe I missed that but Christ is why we are celebrating! We need to remember that. Life maybe not be all that you thought it would be but with Christ, your life will be awesome with what was given to you.

Did you know that I heard black friday is called that because that is the day they get out of the RED! LOL….. Cuh-razy…. I guess it’s the day WE GO IN THE RED…

The craft I am doing today is super dooper fun and it’s so crazy because I did it last night without knowing that it was even a Martha craft! So I said “guh you betta use this”… and I did.

I just had these babies laying around and when I saw them I thought they were be perfect to put balls in! It’s super easy! All you have to do is turn the jar upside down and fill it with whatever ornaments you have. Yep! That simple!

Have fun putting all of your CHRISTMAS ornaments up!!!

Sending you a big ole house full of love, your one and only JADERBOMB

Glitter Candles Tutorial

Monday, Monday gotta wake up it’s Mondayyyyy {{singing in my “Friday, Friday}} voice. I have to say I think it is pretty obvious that I LOVE glitter. I have ALWAYS loved glitter but it’s on a whole new level now! I have an addictive personality {go figure} and when I find something that makes my heart beat “really” fast I tend to involve it WAY TOO MUCH in my daily life.  There is only one problem. I somehow glitter everything my little eyes come across now. Maybe it’s the glitter. Yeah, it’s the glitter. I have always used “eh, OK” glitter but I have to be honest, Martha Stewart’s glitter is so powerful. It covers better than my flat sheet covers me at night (and I don’t even have a flat sheet). Now that’s coverage.
You know what I love the most about this craft? The fact that no matter what holiday is coming around you can decorate with candles and glitter. It’s absolutely affordable and believe me when I tell you this! I can’t wait to make bright, bold colors for Christmas! We can’t forget about Easter! Those pastels will be so beautimus.
{{and LENORE, you were RIGHT!!!}}
Let’s get to the craft of the day!

p.s.  These are the three colors that I used for my {{Fall/Halloween}} candles
p.s. Simply coat your candles with mod podge then sprinkle with glitter! Look how pretty they come out!
p.s. I just stuck them in sand and there you have it! How cute! Just think of every holiday you can use these babies for!

Sending you white sand to remind you of the best day ever on the beach,
