I can’t wait to show you today how I made a dog bed out of an old television. It’s the best dog bed in my eyes and I know you re going to love it. Some beds for dogs are not the coziest and I figured out a way to make a cozy one that’s great for cat’s too. It’s pretty simple to make which makes it nice. I am loving how unique it looks. Most dog beds can look a little generic but not this one. It’s a Jaderbomb dog bed!

How cute is Ceaux Ceaux here! She loves her new bed so much. I think certain dogs like to be in small spaces because it makes them feel safe and secure. Ceaux Ceaux is part beagle and terrier and they love being in a small spaces. I drove up one day at home and my neighbor had this T.V. at the road. I don’t know why I wanted it but I knew it would be something cute. Once I got it home I started to gut it out it. Then I realized it could be a dog bed. Right! It’s really simple to make so let’s get started!

1. The first thing you will do is find an old T.V.

2. See how your animal looks in it,hehe

3. Gut out the entire thing!

4. Start painting it the color of choice. I like things to look “clean and crisp” so white is what I chose.
It’s really that simple. You can also paint or decorate the inside to add your personal touch.

Just thought I would share with you my roses. I have this crazy habit that forces me to buy fresh flowers every week. Trust me they usually take me from 1 to 100 in about five minutes. The good thing about flowers is you can choose different ones each week depending on your mood, how you feel or colors you are attracted to. I always have different ones but my FAVORITE flower is the stargazer lily.

Quote of the day:
“Bigger than life is not difficult for me.  I AM bigger than life.”-Rita Moreno

Well that quote fit me quite perfectly I tell ya! If you ever wonder where I get my quotes from or how I choose them I will tell ya. I have always kept a calendar on my desk where you can tear a page off every day and each day has something new on it. I get them from Barnes and Noble. They usually have a HUGE table to choose from and they range from puzzles, cat’s, dogs, inspirational, sports, funny and anything else you can think of.

Last year Ashy bought me a really great inspirational one.  However this year, I got a really funny one. It’s sorta inspirational but it’s about inspirational WOMEN. I will post a link below to show you the calendar I got because it’s still early in the year and you need this one. Super funny!

Today’s craft is very inspirational. Why you ask? Well because when you water color it relaxes you in a way that you won’t understand unless you do it. I should say enjoying your time doing it will relax you, not if you hurry. It’s magical when you mix two colors together and they blend so easily. For me crafting isn’t just a job, it truly grounds me and gives me a place on this earth.

The first thing you will do is get strips of fabric ( use a light color so the water color’s show) and start painting whatever you like on it. I wanted to do some geometric shapes and patterns on mine. I will suggest one thing. When it comes to water color the cheaper ones you buy will not have a lot of color pigment in them. I suggest buying the more expensive one because it will be worth it. Don’t worry even the expensive ones are not that expensive.
FYI: you could also buy the ones with 7 colors and mix your own shades!

Once you paint on your fabric let them dry over night. When dry cut out triangles. I didn’t measure mine because I wanted them to be different sizes.

Once you are done grab your glue gun and some string or twine. Add a little glue to the top of the flag (the back side of your flag) and just place your twine on top of the glue. That’s it!

I just love the way they came out. I figured I would start early with my Valentines decor and I think this is beautiful.

I hope you enjoyed this post and you can look forward to new VALENTINE’S day crafts!

Huge hugs, see ya in the next post!

Well the big ole heart day is finally here

{{insert a big bouncy heart and cheesy smile}}

I just had to share with you a quick tutorial on our breakfast this morning. Yes… I got up super early just to make pink heart pancakes. I love making things my family will always remember.

For the record I am a “traditions” kinda girl.

Let’s get started JADERBUGS!

*I love Aunt Jemima pancake mix & McCormick red food coloring (it is REALLY a good red)

Follow directions on the box for successful pancakes.

I hope you are drooling through the computer because lemme tell you my loved ones LOVED them! I hope each and every one of you a fun filled day full of love! I added some “gold” sprinkles to the pancakes to add some fun to them.

Remember my cake balls I made with the gold sprinkles? If you have not seen them click HERE to check them out!

STAY TUNED, THE TUTORIAL ON HOW I MADE HE POM POMS IN THE PANCAKES WILL BE UP LATER TODAY!

After searching high and low through my attic looking for a VALENTINES day wreath I finally came to the conclusion that:

a) I never had one

b) I just can’t find it, or

c) I threw it away

I really don’t feel like going to the store to buy any because,

a) I am too lazy today

b) I have enough things around my house to make one AND

c) I like homemade things much much more than store bough.

I know, even though you buy it in the store “someoneeeee” made it but it’s way different when you make it with your own two hands!!! I started thinking of different things to make it with and then I opened up my HUGE closet full of FABRIC! It all came to me then!

Strips of fabric tied to a wire wreath. I feel like it will be “homemade” enough and super cute! Not sure if you would consider it shabby chic valentiney or country chic! Let’s just say it’s “VALENTABBYCHIC“…. {{teehehe}}

I hope everyone is had a great weekend, don’t forget it’s almost SUPER BOWL time. Are you throwing a party? We are having a HUGE party and I can’t wait to show you all of my decorations! Ya know, I don’t even really like football (slap in the mouth right about nowwww). Can you believe that? I just like everything else that comes along with it!

Come on, let’s get to crafting!!!

Fabric Wreath Inspiration Board

Grab some fabric that reminds you of  “valentine’s day”. You can use reds, pinks, whites and black too!!!

I got this metal round skeleton wreath at Michaels Arts and Crafts. It was in some crazy section but maybe someone just misplaced it and I came to save it!

Get your Martha Stewart scissors! These suckers seriously, CUT EVERYTHING. I am sure I shouldn’t be cutting all of the things I cut with them but hey….you live once 🙂 Plus they are from her. I want to use them 24-7

Cut your fabric into strips like this!!! I didn’t measure the strips I just cut! Some are thick and some are thin!!!

Start wrapping your strips around the wire. OVER AND OVER!!!! Until it’s fullllll!!!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE WAY IT CAME OUT! Isn’t it so “valentabbychic“!!!! I hope you have fun making this craft and have fun cutting all of those strips!!!!! {{boy lemme tell you it get’s boringggg}}!

Sending you RED, WHITE and PINK hugs,

Paint Chip Canvas TUTORIAL

Hey Jaderbugs!!! I can’t believe I forgot to click “publish” yesterday after I wrote this!

I wanted to make you something that is FUN and EXCITING for Valentine’s day. I am always drawn into paint samples at any store I go into. I can think of a MILLION things to do with them and I never seem to have enough time! Sometimes I find paint samples that I absolutely can’t choose from, because I love the entire thing. That is why I came up with this fun craft! Why not make your own LIFE SIZE paint samples. You know, the kind where you can “pick” your own colors and “pick” your own names! I had so much fun making this and it would be a great gift to anyone! It is a great and cheap way to add lot’s of decor to a space and you can have tons of them for different holidays!

Some of the things I used to make this craft are:

1.  Martha Stewart Crafts™ Basic Brush Set – 5pc

2.  Martha Stewart Crafts™ Paint

3.  Artist’s Loft™ 2 Pack Value Canvas

The colors I used for this project are : Pink Carnation, Raspberry Ice, Fruit Punch, Turquoise, Surf and Sea Lavender. They are all from the Martha Stewart line.

I hope you enjoyed the quick show I made you! If you want to see the tutorials on two of the crafts in the picture above here are the links!!! Enjoy!!!

1. Wine Cork Board

2.  Champagne-Bottle Wrap

Stay tuned I will be posting a tutorial on how to make a “head” to put on your wall. You will have to come back to see what kind of HEAD I am talking about!!!!

Sending you lots of paint chip colored canvases,
