Wowzers!!! I can’t believe it is already THURSDAY!!! RIGHT! I have been having so much fun making all of these crafts for you {{and for me}}!  The other morning while I was making my coffee I ran out of creamer. {wahhhhh}.  So the typical routine is to throw the empty bottle away, right! That is exactly what I would have normally done {UNTIL} my lightbulb went off! I thought “how cool would it be to use these instead of throwing them away..
And here you have it! JUST FOR YOU my little jaderbugs.
I hope you enjoy!!!
Ingredients:
The pieces do NOT have to be a certain size.  Use the size you like.
Are you having fun yet? OH and I am using “sparkle” Mod Podge!!!! When it dries it is full of GLITTER!!!
Don’t worry about being perfect! It’s about having fun!!!
This is what it will look like still damp!
OMGJB {{ohmygodjaderbomb}} HOW FLIPPING FULL OF CUTENESS  ARE THESE LITTLE SUCKERS.
Wishing my coffee pot could bring me another cup of coffee,

DIY: Mardi Gras Bead Onesie

Happy (almost) Mardi Gras! Living in the SOUTH all of my life I got to experience the best of MARDI GRAS, year after year. I think most people in the world refer to New Orleans when they think of Mardi Gras. Lafayette gives New Orleans a run for it’s money! I grew up knowing that when Mardi Gras comes around it’s time to PARTY. Lemme tell you, people in the SOUTH can drink. Probably too much. I really love Mardi Gras for the Krewes, Balls, Parades and the best parties.

What Mardi Gras is also known for is the BEADS!!!! I know you heard of what we do, right? It is “known” (fine it’s TRUE) that women AND men will do anything to get a bead, including lifting their shirts. Ya know, it’s like a free peep show, realllly free. Just warning ya now, your picture can appear all over the world in like…5 minutes so make sure if you DO lift your shirt that it is a bead with diamonds in it!! HAHA

During this holiday season you will see EVERYONE walking around with loads and loads of beads around their neck. It’s kinda like bad manners if you don’t have at least ONE bead around your neck. I found some pictures of me and some friends in New Orleans last year on my computer and I got to thinking. I know babies start young here and I wanted to create something that is super easy and ANYONE can do! Ya know, it’s prolly not the safest thing in the world putting loads of bead around an infants neck. JS

Let’s get started because I am ((((aghhhh)))) so excited!!!

Grab some “all in one” get ups!

Of course I used Martha Stewarts new line of paints. I got them from Michaels Arts and Crafts and they are AMAZING!

These are the colors of the paint used for this project. Make sure you note that some are glitter, high gloss and metallic.

Just in case you don’t know, her new line of paint can be used in multiple ways. One way that I love the most it being able to use it on fabric. Grab some fabric medium and follow the directions. It’s super simple and you can put ANYTHING you want on fabric!

Your MAIN tool though is this sucker! Yes! Can you believe it! Just a simple pencil.

I have these little trays I use for paint but if you don’t you can use whatever is laying around. A paper plate works great!

Just dip your eraser into the paint.

I put a piece of paper in between the two layers so the paint wouldn’t bleed through.

Start making dot’s. If you notice I am making a “eraser” bead necklace. How fun!!!! OH wait till you see the end result!!

This is what it should start to look like.

Doesn’t this look like something you could just eat up!

I know you are like… OMG!! This just makes me feel so happy inside. Oh, did I mention it’s a little safer than REAL beads choking a baby’s neck!!!

So this little get up is 18 month’s. I am doing a quick GIVEAWAY. If you want this or know someone who would like it then SIGN UP TO WIN IT! Plus it’s super fun to win things!

Jaderbugs! That is up to 5 entries!!!! GOOD LUCK AGAIN!!! It will end on Saturday!!!

Trying to hurry and finish this post before my computer dies,

Howdy Hoe Jaderbugs!!! It’s 2012 and I am so excited that I am healthy, happy and hibernating…..it’s sorta cold I tell ya! I got some leopard slippers for Christmas so I actually have a legit “excuse” to wear them. Living in the South you don’t really wear slippers for warmth. Christmas was uh-mazing. I got to spend a lot of time with seester and that is always a bu-last! It’s kind of bitter sweet getting to see her and then parting from her and my babies (god children). If only they didn’t live like…. a BILLION miles away.

We did have a blast though. We did a FUN photo shoot and let me tell ya they are HAWT. I’ll post a few of her that I have edited for you to see her. SHE IS A GEM! So beautiful!

Enough about me, how has your TUESDAY been?  I hope it has gone a little smoother than mine.  Thank GOD (for real)  I am still happy as ever! Just wait till you see the craft I am posting today.  It will surely  make you smile!

I am using Burlap and a plain white sheet
Honestly, I didn’t measure because in this case it really didn’t matter.

But depending on how big your curtain rod is, that will determine how big you need to make the fold.

See! Nothing perfect. Just Shabby Chic is all.
You want to make sure this measurement is pretty accurate because you will notice it.

Just sew the end  that is not finished (burlap) to the white sheet. Then fold over and iron.

How’s it coming!!!!

P.S.  How cute for real!!! I also made some fabric flags just for Valentines Day.
P.S. Just a little something extra for you. These were totally NOT planned but well worth it!

They are under my sink.

Cutsie Pootsie!

I hope you totally enjoyed this craft! I actually made these curtains over a year ago but wanted to “re-share” them with you! I figured valentines day is near and and they were just delicate enough for this holiday!

Enjoying my night eating turkey bacon and watching cupcake wars,

Design your own cell phone case

This weekend I woke up with the “grand” idea to cover my phone case.  What started that idea was the fact that my phone case was FULL of scratches and FULL of paint.  I know, your thinking, “well if you got your real case dirty why would you think you wouldn’t get this furry concoction dirty”.  Fact is I will. If you lived in my shoes a couple days you would see that dirty means GOOD. Dirty means PRODUCTION.  Dirty means, finding ways to constantly “cover” things up.  Ya know, sometimes I hate buying new clothes. It’s so pretty and clean. Those fibers have no idea what it’s like living in the life of an artist.  Well, someone has to do the dirty work {{right eyebrow lifting up REALLY high}}
p.s. if you go to your local craft store you can find every color you could possibly want.  I bough mine at Michael’s Arts and Crafts.
p.s. i like to do a little bit at a time so ensure it is put on well
p.s. just keep on wrapping all over the phone. good thing is if you mess up nobody will ever know because it all blends in.  make sure you don’t cover the spots where your “holes” are.
p.s. when you are almost done you will need to cut the “fur” where your camera lens is.
p.s. tadahhhh.. one BIG ball of love .. YES that is my phone faced down.  funny huh!!!
Sending you balls and balls of hot pink fur,
jaderbomb
P.S. Don’t forget to check out my 100 days of Martha Stewart countdown I am doing. It is a REAL fun project I took on! So fun, I am gonna do a new craft later tonight. Oh you ask. When do I have time to do ALL of this and have a REAL life.  Well, when you are all cozy in your beds at like 3 am… I am crafting.  ((teeheheh))

Make sure you click on the Martha countdown tab on my blog to see the crafts I have already done!
And I will put a link on my website which is www.jaderbomb.com!!!!

You can ring my BELL

Well what was I to do? Ya know!
I have been wanting some of those vintage BALL jars, you know… the ones that have that beautiful {{hinty winty}}} of teal…..Well I found them, only thing is they are expensive! So I decided I would try to make some on my own.  Heck. It was pretty darn easy if I say so myself.
I just got some glass paint from Michael’s Arts and Crafts and a little spongy wunggy brush. That’s it yall!
So let’s get going!!!!
p.s. I know I know.. I used a “KERRRR” jar but it’s ok because we are gonna make it look like a BALL jar!
p.s. yep. that’s all i used!
p.s. the left picture only has ONE coat of glass paint on it.
the right picture has TWO coats of glass paint on it!
p.s.  I just went out in my yard and pulled some roses!! So prettyy!!
p.s. Ohhhh I totally found this REAL BALL JAR about 30 min after I painted the “KERRR” jars!!! I totally been having it for years but put it away because I “guess” I used to think it was GREEN!! BUT ITS NOT!!!! OHHH EMMMM GEEEEE
p.s. how awesome is the window over my kitchen sink! <3
I hope you all loved this crafty wafty my little jaderbugs!!!
Until next time…
peace..love.jaderbomb.

Decorate with Eggs

Howdy my little JaderBugs~!! How are ya! Sorry I been kinda out lately but I had surgery this week and didn’t really have time to blog much.  But I am back and running!!!
OMG, while I was on my “meds” I started thinking about a craft to do with eggs.  I didn’t want to do the typical egg craft that I see all over so here goes MY EGG CRAFT!!! I think it’s absolutely precious because it’s very crisp and clean looking but has the spunk that I adore.  I used my favorite markers of ALL time, my BIC markers.  Check out my post I put up a while back when BIC sponsored me for a craft party!   So exciting I tell ya~
Also, if you have not seen my {bloopers} video from last week check it out, it’s super funny!!!
These are the colors that I chose but you can use the ones that tinkle your heart:
Plumtastic Purple
Hot Aqua
Sunset Orange
Polynesian Purple
Tranquil Teal
Stone Gray
Tiki Hut Tan
Pink Flamingo
Key Lime
√ Tuxedo Black
Yellow Blaze
Peach Parfait
Fandango Pink
INGREDIENTS:
p.s. you can also use fishing wire or any other string you can think of, i just love the look of twine.  don’t forget to get personal, splatter on all kindsa different sequins on them!!!
p.s.  this process is fairly simple.  after your first 2 eggs you will figure out what way works best for ya!
p.s.  seriously, how cute is this! makes me think of my polka dot bak-ini, fa reel
p.s. do you want to eat these are is it just me?
p.s. btw, you don’t have to use black to outline your polka dots.  i just happen to love the color black around things all pretty n stuff 🙂
p.s. ok, on the left if you look good enough, you can see the FIRST sequin i put up.  but to the right you will see an egg starting to become engulfed in them. did you know i love all things glittery and shiny!!! like ADDicted!!!
p.s. play around with this part.  you do’t have to put them in any certain order or anything.  it’s your time to be creative!
p.s.  you can hang these anywhere and your house will be sparkly and happy
p.s. see!!! i told ya! BTW I was supposed to post this but never got around to it.  i spruced up some things in ma crib and painted them all summery {{is that a word?}} lol
ps.  another mirror.  see i toldya if you just get a cool can of spray paint you can change the look of a room for less than 5 dollors~
Love ya. Mean it.
